Did Supes put him up to it or was it all of his own idea? If it was Supes idea, well, what do you expect from a man who wears his underpants outside his longjohns, 8-)
His own.
Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster.Oh okay then. Heh. I am glad I am too young to remember the Silver Age then, :P
But now who is Supes gonna flirt with when he's exposed to pink kryptonite?
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.
And please tell me you just made that up and it wasn't an actual thing.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiUnfortunately, no. It's from a 2003 Supergirl story, written by Peter David. It's apparently a spoof of the Silver Age.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.
Oh. If its a spoof that's okay, or at least less bad. Knowing the Silver Age, the first thing I thought of was some Values Dissonance-filled anti-gay type thing was going down.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiSounds like you got the gay.
I hope it's not too much to ask for to want the next movie with Luthor to reference the 40 cakes.

ophelia, you're breaking my heartCONCEPT: Jimmy Olsen is Jenny Olsen for the first two movies, and no attention is drawn to it as strange. Then, in the third movie, as a Deconstruction of all those dumb Silver Age plots featuring Jimmy Olsen that wind up on Superdickery, it turns out that the entire universe that the films take place in is actually an alternate, supposedly-of-lesser-importance universe created when an incident in a different universe temporarily created "a universe where Jimmy Olsen is a girl". To finish up the plot in that universe, the Superman of that universe - "Main Superman" - tries to destroy this alternate universe - never considering that it's a complete, fully formed universe, with countless independent people with fully-formed lives. To make matters worse, all of this is the doing of Superboy Prime, who's attempting to prove that he's no worse than any of the other alternate Supermen, who can all, despite their self-proclaimed perfection, thoughtlessly perform unspeakably immoral acts.
I'd say I'm being refined Into the web I descend Killing those I've left behind I have been Endarkenedyou had me until Superboy Prime.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartJimmy, or Jenny, should just get transformed into something different every movie. And by the next one, he or she is back to their normal self.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.no!

Well, that's a shame. My personal favorite era of Superman comics was the 2000s up until the New52, since I believed that era was able to balance the best parts of the Silver Age with more modern characterization. I hope that era or something similar to it is the main inspiration for the Man Of Steel Saga.

Quite frankly, I'd have to agree. Morrison hit all the right notes, and struck just the right balances. Interesting that he actually made Superman MORE powerful, when most writers seem to want to de-power him some. While I frequently enjoy the whole shared-universe bit in modern comics, I must say I do occasionally miss each character essentially having their own "world." Morrison captured that vibe nicely.
Amen.
Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.
And probably a strange way to reference Jimmy's weird pechant to cross dress during the silver age.
