Consider that Xeno Blade Chronicles X will have things Xeno Blade Chronicles didn't though, and vice versa:
For instance, no giant robots that you can pilot yourself in the latter I believe.
One Strip! One Strip! But it does give me an idea of how Monolith handles games, since I never played anything from them before.
Dammit, that montage just made me want to play the game again!
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Not me. I never found myself losing interest. If anything, I was thrilled with the approaching climax. I explored the whole freaking place actually.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."the interest is there but the willingness to go through every timed quest available before moving on is...not always.
I did all the quests (bar the post game ones, they're ridiculous), but I just got so invested in the climax in Mechonis Core, that by the time it was done, I was all out of energy for the real one.
I've never been one to go all the way with sidequests. As long as I felt willing to keep exploring, I kept following sidequests.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I did all the endgame quests in new game+, didn't bother with them the first time either. They are pretty good imho, some interesting stories.
Pour y voir clair, il suffit souvent de changer la direction de son regard www.xkcd.com/386/The endgame quests that you want to do, I think, are the ones for everyone's fifth skill trees.
At the very least do Seven's. Two elite monsters at the same time! It's probably the most fun fight in the game.
Song of the Sirenswait they have another hidden skill tree?
getting shulks 4th skill tree already came out of left field.
I never actually finished Xenoblade.
I just got too worried about missing out on timed missions, and yet couldn't figure out how to actually complete the ones I already had, that I just sort of lost interest, which is a shame, because it's quite a lovely game.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Speaking of Shulks fourth skill tree, did anyone else have problems getting it to trigger? Sometimes it would appear a soon as I unlocked Colony Six restoration, and oter times not until the Fallen Arm!
Another quest I had problems with was the one the old guy in the Colony Nine military district gives, to slay some sort of monster in Makna forest. It has never, ever spawned for me, not even once. Was I missing some affinity links or something?
I'm pretty sure you need full affinity with Colony 9 to get Shulk's fourth tree. If you haven't been working on it, it can be a real pain to unlock.
Song of the SirensAh, ok. Thanks.
i got it at 4 stars, im pretty sure.
oh, nope, full affinity it was.

Anyone interested in reading some Xenoblade self-insert badfic?
Watching a Non-Commentary walkthrough of Xeno Blade Chronicles right now.
The voice acting is....I don't feel it's bad, but all british accents all the time is a little weird.
It is different though. I'll say that much.
One Strip! One Strip!i feel the same way about american accents.
like, why do you guys talk that way all the time?? :S
It just takes some getting used to since the localization was handled by Nintendo of Europe's UK branch.
With Xenoblade Chronicles X the localization is handled by Nintendo of America's Treehouse.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSad. One of thed best things about Xenoblade was the British dub. Few Japanese video games enjoy diversity in VAs, since companies don't want to pay extra for a union dub.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer
Fair enough.
I knew that already. I will say Shulk's actor certainly made me believe it when he flipped out after Fiora was killed. And yeah, I know there's more to it than that, since I read about the game on This Very Wiki, but that's not an issue right now.
I kinda agree with you there, I must admit. The different voices provided some nice variety.
One Strip! One Strip!I think the Brittish voices was one of my favourite things about the original. I'll be sad to see them go.
I'd avoid doing seven's skill tree, because it's the only one you probably can't do with normal progression (the enemies are lvl ~90 iirc). The other one's are pretty easy to get in a normal playthrough, though you don't really need it. Imho shulks last skill of the fifth skill tree feels pretty broken. :> (you get full special gauge each time you have a vision)
Xenoblade Chronicles is one of those games were going completionist during your first run doesn't really work. I'd save it for new game+

Considering how much hype I've been seeing people give the game and the still lingering doubt about whether or not I should go for the game, I'm going to watch the LP and see just once and for all whether it'll be worth it.
