X is already playable on a single screen (the gamepad), so that won't be an issue. I think a X port is coming on the next console, but that will require MS to be interested in doing so. Which they probably are, but we'll see.
FrontierNav is nothing that couldn't be converted to an in-game menu. If Splatoon could do it, X will be fine.

Trans rights are human rights.IIRC the issue was not that there wasn't interest in porting X but that it was too expensive and time-consuming at the time. Now they're done with the mainline trilogy (DE was worked on alongside 3 so the dev portion of Monolith Soft was pretty busy at the time), and the Switch is due a successor which could use a launch title of some kind.
I do know that Future Redeemed was the first Xenoblade game to not be produced by Koh Kojima because he was busy on another project, and the common speculation at the time was that he was either busy working on an X renake/remaster or the rumored Baten Kaitos port.

Part of what makes X expensive to remaster is that the game world's size is frankly absurd. Here's◊ a comparison between the size of X and the size of Breath of the Wild. And keep in mind that there's actually a bunch of little things all over the place in X's Ocean.
Forgot to mention that I'm totally done with Soulhacker skills.
Huzzah. Now it's just maxing out the remaining classes, at least until I finally get that DLC.
One Strip! One Strip!Nice one, Soulhacker is the best Healer of the game by a far margin.
Where there's life, there's hope.As I heard it, a lot of the difficulty with porting X has to do with the Wii U just being very difficult for game developers to work with in general. That's why the Wii U had poor third-party support, and it was apparently a large source of X's infamous developmental woes which necessitated the need to cut out half of its planned content, as well as why Monolith Soft got involved with developing the Switch's architecture to make it more amenable to developers.
The open world probably isn't the primary ostable, given that they have enough working knowledge of how to implement it that they were hired to work on BOTW/TOTK for that reason. X, 2, and 3 apparently also all run on the same engine which would theoretically make an X port feasible, albeit not efficient.
Another key thing is that X is still the largest first-party Nintendo game in terms of file-size and will require a 32GB cart. 32 GB carts are still fairly expensive and the likely reason why Tears of the Kingdom is Nintendo's first $70 Switch game. Nintendo was likely hoping other developers would bring down the price, but it's likely going to be a while before it does, and that would add another cost to X that would likely be considered too much at the moment.
Also, X is trending on the site formally known as Twitter for obvious reasons.
Finally, I started dabbling in 3's challenge mode and my team comp from when I finished the game has pretty much already broken it. The only major issues I ran into it were the fight against the commanders and the superboss one (which is mainly difficult for how awkward the boss's hitboxes are). The gauntlet is a bit harder and will likely take a while for me to break that one. Rex really helped in that endeavor thanks to his launch art and extra damage.
Also, the Ao E Smash is fun in gauntlet.
Lapidarist Mio, mainly used for flag waving and flute playing.
Seraph Eunie, with Topple to Launch.
Full Metal Jaguar Taion, DPS Tank. Recently added Smash to the Master Arts list. Might swap in Break from Noponic Defender for challenge grinding.
Medic Gunner Lanz, also mainly waves flags and plays flutes.
Yumsmith Sena, breaks enemies, waves flags and plays the flute.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Soulhacker is such a great class, I'm generally a sucker for super-customizable Blue Mage type things
Song of the SirensAlso the Hero you get it from is the best guy.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah.
You know, Triton's such a great dude, its not only easy to forget he's Moebius, it's easy to forget that Z chooses you to become Moebius and you agree to it.
He agreed to a life where he drains the life of others to survive. That's not a good thing.
I can only imagine that Triton himself doesn't remember how he was recruited but likely didn't think it through and thus started treating the members of his colony as friends as atonement until he Ouroboros came along and gave him a chance to flat out destroy the Flame Clocks.
One Strip! One Strip! It is possible for an evil person to have a Heel Realization and decide to make themselves better on their own. I assume that's what happened with Triton. As much as they're obsessed with "the Endless Now", Moebius are still people, and people can develop and change over time.
Fair enough.
Triton appears to also be one of the older Moebius. Perhaps he'd just done enough in his life that the Hedonism didn't stick.
One Strip! One Strip! It's pretty clear that's what happened. Triton lived the Moebius life for so long that extreme old age led to him losing memories and his personality changing. It's worth pointing out though that he actually still has his Moebius obsession. His is fighting strong enemies, but he's long since smashed all the monsters (he canonically had every soulhack and forgot them), and Moebius is an even bigger target.

So, is there a better place to grind up classes than the Demihuman Gutter?
I'm kinda sick of fighting there. Would like to be able to use Ouroboros powers while fighting.
One Strip! One Strip!Anywhere is fine if you lower your level to like 20 levels below the enemies (postgame only).
As for the gutter, its quickest if you use an Attacker class Noah with the skill that starts battle with a full talent gauge, equip the Infinite Sword talent art, and only fight elite monsters while being like 10 levels below them.
I guess so.
The problem is, I've maxed out all of Noah's attacker classes.
I think. I know I got a few defender classes left and he's one of them right now. I'm trying to get those out of the way.
How does the Infinite Sword everything to death strategy (which I have used, and I admit, I love it) work when he's not an attacker class?
One Strip! One Strip! The exploit I usually see involves giving Noah an Attacker class with maxed-out Capable Hands so he can use Lucky Seven's Doom insta-kill buff to quickly rack up Class Points. I assume you're at the postgame? In which case it's recommended to level down and use the room full of giant Elites in Origin as a grind spot.
I believe it's the Hangar Lower Gate?
Cool. I'll head there right away.
One Strip! One Strip! The thing about using Infinite Sword outside of an Attacker class is that the chance of inflicting Instant Death with regular attacks becomes very low. Not like Attacker where you'll probably kill an Elite with your first or second autoattack.
At least the Healer Noah has a fast-charging Final Lucky Seven so you could still inflict good AOE.
Where there's life, there's hope.I noticed that.
In fact, I finally notices that the secondary arts with Lucky Seven actually change depending on your class. I never caught that before.
One Strip! One Strip!
It really would be the perfect time for a sequel, with the very blatant reference in Future Redeemed. As I understand it, a port would be a pain due to the thing with the map on the tablet, but hopefully they still try.
