Re:Melia - Do you try all the time?*
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyActually, I try a lot. (Blasted complex outfits...)
In this institution on the other hand, is a different matter...
But do you pray?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I would... if Shulk didn't make that wish.
So I'm about to finish the second Field area in my 3DS playthrough, but you know what? Hell with it. I love the place's environmental music, I have work to do, so I'll use my 3DS to provide BGM until I'm done.
Sure I could spend a bunch of play coins to try unlocking the song in the album but I almost prefer leaving the game running. It's nice.
Right now my party is at Lv. 64 and has just completed Mechonis Field. Now I'm wondering if I should try to unlock the 4th skill branch missions for my remaining characters (Shulk, Reyn, Sharla, and Riki), or just get on with the plot already. Shulk and Reyn have already completed their basic three branches, so any SP they earn is going to waste until I get their 4th branches.
On the other hand, I'm a bit overleveled already, and grinding through sidequests until I unlock the ones that'll reward me with the skill branches will make that problem worse.

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Trust me, when you get past Mechonis Field, you won't be overlevelled anymore. So go for those fourth skill branches ASAP.
I'd personally just go for the skill trees, you shouldn't wind up too much higher levelled.
If possible, avoid discovering too many landmarks or secret areas. Those give a shitload of SP which will go to waste if they've maxed out their basic three.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I just unlocked Reyn's fourth skill branch last night. four down, three to go (Shulk's, Sharla's, and Riki's).
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Shulk's is easy, but Sharla and Riki's are utterly miserable.
By the way, how are you liking the game so far?
Sharla's not too hard. Riki's is tedious though. And then Dunban's requires abusing the physics engine.
I forget, what had to be done for Dundun's?

~Ducks a brick~
One Strip! One Strip!Killing Barbaric Sitri and Banquet Vassago in the Antol Den in Valak Mountain.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh, that Hollow Bone bullshit.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyXtreme Valak sliding in the Hollow Bone.
And then attacking a cocoon that you have no reason to go near.
I played through this once, trying to find as much as I could and it was only after I beat it that I found out there were unlockable skill trees. I was like: WHAT?! I still don't know how to unlock any of them.
I was so shocked when I first saw the "You have unlocked X's 4th skill tree" message. Even more so when I found out there was yet another skill branch for each character.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I've got all the 4th skill branches now.
Yeah, I was surprised when I found out characters had unlockable skill branches.
And for some odd reason, the 4th branches are all named for negative personality traits...
Anyway, now I can get on with the main story! My next stop is the Central Factory (or whatever the section right after Mechonis Field is called). I did make some progress through it weeks ago, but then the game froze during one mandatory fight and I lost that progress, so I decided to go back for the skill branches before trying again.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever. Most of the fifth skill trees are endgame-level things. Reyn's requires materials from level 90+ enemies, while Seven's requires you defeat a pair of level 98 Uniques, one of which has a Daze spike.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Two level 98 uniques with daze spike that are sitting in the same room.
Literal. Hell.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Riki's 5th skill tree involved him becoming the Heropon for reals courtesy of the Nopon Sage, right?

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Them sitting in the same room isn't so bad, it's easy to fight them without aggroing the other.
And yeah, Riki's is the Nopon Sage having you fight Unreliable Rezno to become the true Heropon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Still happened to me twice by accident. Geez...
Anyways, I love that fluffy little guy.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."My jaw dropped when I got Melia's since I didn't realize that was a thing. Wound up with Shulk and Sharla's pretty fast, but Reyn and Dunban's had me stumped for the longest time. How to get theirs became the first thing I looked up about Xenoblade since I didn't think I'd find them on my own.
