I don't know, Flynn from Tangled was a pretty natural and funny snarker, I thought. Who's to say they can't pull something like that off?
"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."Is Disney the new "bar song" company?
Ooooh... Aye-de-dye-de-dye-de-dye-de dye-de-dye-de-dye!
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugada:D :D :D :D :D
"I used to work for Disney..."
I now have a new respect for Pixar now...why? My first name was always pronounced Merida, or something of the like and I always thought it annoying—EVERYONE CALLED ME IT. Until Brave's heroine, I was pretty annoyed with the name...now it's cool to be associated with a Scottish princess.
I'M GOING TO GET OUT OF THE U.S, WITH OR WITHOUT YOU!!!A demon bear named Mordu??
I didn't know George Lucas was involved with this project. Darth Mordu...yeah, that sounds quite Star Wars-y.
It means death? Huh, didn't know that.

Looking for some stories? If the bear pulls out a lightsaber... okay, no, I would still stay in the theater.
i. hear. a. sound.Nah, Mordu makes me think more of Mordred. Either way, having a name that means death is a pretty good choice for a Scary Disney Animal.
I don't think the above poster was being literal. I don't see anything connecting death and mordu anywhere. Just that it's apparently some form of the word for bite in French/Esperanto.
*3: And then suddenly...LIGHTSABERS!

Mor as in the Latin term Mortis
We got footage from the D23 Expo's Brave session. Not the actual film clips they showed mind you, that was part of the NO CAMERAS Disney Studios presentation in the Arena.

I'm pretty sure "No cameras" is just shorthand for "You'll have to wait a few more days than usual for the leak."
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaFrench site's uploaded the pics from the taken down videos http://www.pixar-planet.fr/actualite/2011/aout/24/rebelle-artwork.php3
Holy cow. This is an environment artist's wet dream.
The bear look incredibly frightening in that one winter pic!
And I knew they would infuse some Secret of Kells inspiration!
Holy crap. Even by these low-res pics it's obvious that Pixar has outdone themselves, which is a pretty damn difficult thing to do. Just...wow.
"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."That is simply incredible.
But what makes this even better? It's rather difficult to pull off period settings in CG. To see them pull it off is just astounding.
Those are some fairly nice in-progress shoAWWW WOOKIT DA WIDDLE BWOO THIIIIIIING OMG OMG OMG
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaHeh, heh, Merida doesn't look too happy in that blue dress. Don't worry, Merida, I'm sure the Disney Princess line will allow you to wear something more period-inappropriate.
I know comparing this with How To Train Your Dragon is getting old, but GOD, King Fergus looks so much like Stoick.
Oh, look, they've got some pics of the bear down HOLY CRAP!!!!!

Looking for some stories? She'd probably be even more worried about being stuck in something sparkly and stupid.
That he does. And his beard is even more epic.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaHOLY SHIT, THAT BEAR IS FREAKY!.
So, now we have a demon bear and a Mom-bear. Here's hoping the mom is a normal bear and the demon bear is blood-thirsty.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.
[[quotation: "I hope this film doesn't have one of those annoying forced snarker character types."]]
Craig Ferguson (The Late Late Show) is in the cast.
