No wonder Ocelot was so eager to take him under his wing! O__O

Now I want to know if we can take any member of Diamond Dogs into battle with us as a support buddy. I also want to know if Hideo Kojima will still be a member of the group in the Phantom Pain, like he was in Peace Walker, and if he can be taken into battle as well. I didn't bust my ass rescuing him from Camp Omega just so he'd disappear in the real game.

In fact, I strongly suspect that Hideo Kojima will be the Old Save Bonus.

Common soldiers won't be selectable as buddies, Quiet won't be the only one with superpowers, etc.

I want moral support while I murder helicopters with grenades.

I wanted to take raw recruits and bring them on missions, what better way to hone their skills than team up with Big Boss himself? Oh well.

If Kojima is a buddy he'll be with me on every mission.

You should have the option to wear a camouflage eyepatch with a googly eye stencilled on it. Now that we have Balloon Snake, tone is no longer an issue.

...I mean, I've played every game in the series. Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake is my personal favorite.

I'm not sure the answer's that obvious.

Rapidly accelerating growth hasn't been a thing in this series.

I mean, yeah, rapidly accelerating aging was, but growth and aging are different processes.

And also, DD doesn't seem to be a clone.

Either it was just for the purpose of showing off DD, meaning it will take longer in the real game, or it's just a gameplay convenience so the player doesn't have to wait ages to get their cool wolf companion.

So it sounds like we'll be getting brand new types of staff that'll be used as language interpreters, since our soldiers will be coming from multiple countries and will mostly just be speaking their native languages.

About time a game deals with that particular real-life issue and doesn't use the translation convention excuse.

Tekken does that too in regards to languages, though it has bits like Koreans replying to words from Japanese in Korean.

Is there like a fancy collectors edition of Phantom Pain available for preorder?

Nope. I mean, I think it would be a given, but we don't even have an exact date yet.

The code that came with Ground Zeroes said early 2015, so I will be sad if its pushed back until later in the year.
