Episode 5 has been released to the public.

We've got a full pantheon now though I still doubt they are true gods. Oh, and John Wayne, George Washington, and Alexander the Great are in this episode.

Eh... that was a really weak episode. But yeah, Those guys aren't gods, whatever they are. I'm throwing my hat into the "the real gods are the guys the Reds and Blues are going to help" ring. Also, the "Him" that the main villain was talking about is probably Caboose.

Episode 6 has been released to the public.

The interactions between Tucker and Sister are probably the funniest parts of the season. Especially when the talk to King Rex while high on anti freeze.

Tucker and Sister are the best fucking thing.

The others are alright, I guess. O'Malley being back was interesting, but the entire bit before that just felt really flat.

Episode 7 has been released to the public.

Alright, this is the most hilarious episode in the season so far. Especially Rex's snarkiness and Tucker destroying a cyclops's testicle.

That was some really bad animation, geez... I was put off by it the whole episode.

Wasn't even all that great of an episode. Grif's part was fine, I guess.

That wasn't animation. That was live action Gus playing the cyclops.

That explains the Uncanny Valley-ness of the situation. Still, the effects around the cyclops were pretty poor too, like when he fell and all the rubble was thrown around.

The fact that they made it live-action when they could've animated just makes it seem like Stylistic Suck.

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!

Probably, yeah. Didn't stop me from being very put-off the whole time.

Episode 8 has been released to the public.

A more dramatic episode since it has Wash suffering from brain trauma, with Carolina trying to cope. And I love how Carolina tries to just nope out of the time travel plot as soon as she learns about it.

Geez, guys, come up with a new joke outside of the serious talk fake-out.

Hm... I like the episode. Seeing Wash like that is really sad. Carolina's reaction to it can only result in further sadness. I like her reaction to the Reds and Blues getting into time travel, though.

I also really like Huggins. She makes for a good comedic character, especially placed against Grif.

This whole thing makes me wonder... what rules of time travel are wo going with here? "Stable time loop" rules, "Things change in the present as they happen in the past" rules, or just plain "Plot Convenient" rules?

That's discussed in Episode 9.

Damn it Caboose, Jax was about to prove whether or not free will exists, and you just had to come in and ruin it!

Of course. Couldn't be that simple.

Tucker has fucked up England and ditched them at a bad time. Also, God might be the true Big Bad here.

I was okay until the test.

Prove free will by determining whether or not Sarge chooses to hide in the closet by traveling back in time after the meeting, and therefore if he's in or not in the closet, it means he's going to do it, or that he can't do it?

Either way Sarge was going to choose - so free will wins. Or, if he saw himself inside of the closet, he still chose to go... but if he did then that means...

Okay well if they'd found a second Sarge in there, what if Sarge chose not to do travel back later. Bam, multiverse theory.

Also, might I say I like Jax a whole lot more than Caboose now? I wish they'd revert Caboose to his Season 1 personality for just a little bit.

Eeeeeugh... I dunno. Outside of the scene with Wash, this episode didn't really click much for me. But we do get some inkling of a plot, so there's that. Sister is still the best character, though. Also, I'm really hating Jax more and more. I wish we'd kept Dylan instead of him.

Episode 11 has been released to the public.

I love how for all his bluster, Atlus is just as goofy as everyone else. He's becoming less of a Big Bad than we all initially thought.

TheLovecraftian Since: Jul, 2017

Did he just cause the moon from Remnant to happen?

Ok, I like Atlus. He's fun. Kalirama's not that bad either.

And yeah, Tucker is just consistently screwing up. I'm not sure whether or not I like that. Depends on where they're going with it.

Meanwhile, Sister is still the best damn character. Followed swiftly by Grif.

The stuff between Kalirama and Atlus got real dirty real fast... like, I'm okay with Tucker and Sister, but that one just blindsided me.

I just realized that this is the first season without the baggage of the Freelancer saga since Season 5. I mean, I like the Freelancer Saga, but it's nice to get away from The Director, the Director's children, the Director's wife, the Director's AI based on his wife, the Director's enemies, the Director's assistant, and a bunch of weaponry that came from the Director's program.

[up] The plot was set in motion by the time machine/doomsday device created by ex-Sim Troopers who were previously used as training dummies by Project Freelancer and who lost one of their own to both the Director's daughter and the AI recreation of his wife/her mother, but that's reaching pretty far for a connection to Freelancer.

Reaching or not, it is a connection I hadn't thought of. Okay, so it's not completely outside of Project Freelancer.
