For the DS, even though they're already re-releasing De Su for the 3DS: http://www.andriasang.com/e/posts/2011/03/23/270164/

huh.

The scan.

New main characters(and a new artist apparently), though older versions of the characters from the first game make appearances.

Yes!! Now we can see which ending is canon!!

And I wonder if Naoya or Metatron will be involved.

I hope Ganesha won't be higher ranked than Saiten Taissei this time......

And would be nice if they let us fight soldiers as though they're normal enemies, and none of that game over if we kill one by accident.

Egads, it looks like the Durarara cast was lifted wholesale into DS 2.

This is not a bad thing. waii

Oooh, neat! Glad to see they got a new artist, I wasn't too fond of the old character designs.

But somehow,

Huh, cool. Looks like after ''Investigations 2'' I'll be getting one last DS game after all.

Hmmm, it does look more like the Persona art, but the scan is pretty glossy so it's hard to tell.

The last MC better be the bonus boss.

So they're lifting the cast from DRRR instead of P3 this time. Eh, I'm okay with that

Also okay with Atlus continuing to support old systems

My response is somewhere between "DEVIL SURVIVOR YEEEEESSSSSS" and "For the DS? Wut?"

But still, Devil Survivor! Yay!

Would have to ask why it is a DS 1 title, but whatever.

The new character's outfits seem less... casual, than De Su. Not prepared but less casual. Prehpas it's just the lack of Yuzu's blatant clevage though, or the art style being standard SMT stuff instead of what they used for De Su 1.

Hey, I'm glad it's in the old DS...I don't have my own 3DS yet...and I'm waiting for Nintendo to release an upgraded version of the 3DS like companies inevitably will...

Devil Survivor 2? And it's for the normal DS? Badass.

Welp, considering that from what little I can actually see in that scan the world does not appear to have gone to pot yet, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Yuzu's route is definitely not canon.

I'll bet that it was one of the two Neutral endings.

Yyyyyeeessssss. I doubt Amane will show up again though, she was by far my favorite character. I hope the next designated law representative will be as awesome as she was. On the other hand, I don't see how they can make a bigger prick than Naoya, so he'll be back again.

The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.

@Sullen Frog,

Which were the "neutral"? Atsuro and Gin?

Yeah, they were the two endings that weren't law/chaos/you suck.

The world not sucking means that it was a neutral ending, not just not Yuzu's. Probably Gin's

If it was Gin's ending, then there can't be a sequel. All the powers and demons were sent away or something right?

Except for the message at the end saying that your power will be needed again quite soon.

Atsubro's ending would work pretty well. A plot based around a sudden demon rebellion would work nicely.

I always viewed Gin's as the true one, since its plotline seemed to be built up the most.

So, according to Siliconera, the basic premise involves beings called Septentrion appearing in Japan and the characters make a Deal with the Devil to fight them, their deadline being one week, of course. The main three characters look like pretty much straight-up expies of the original three. Not that that's hard I guess.

I think Gin's ending is probably the canon one, since it provides an almost Reset Button, that allows for a sequel that both connects to the previous one but works well standalone.

Yep, Gin's ending seems to be the most likely to canon to me as well.

Hmm...I just looked up the word Septentrion on the net. My search wasn't particularly fruitful; all I know is that it relates to the North in some fashion.

It can also refer to the stars that make up Ursa minor or major. Still useless, but a more probable source for the name
