Its the Webcomics Sports Anime kid from some of Zack's twitter works (That very much served as a clue to its readers that the second the words "Gym Class" were mentioned that an incredible sports anime is on its way)

i dont think it was too much to do with the comment sections behavior as it was to do with the exponential increase in potential readers and commenters as the comic goes on making it harder to read and moderate the section.
i mean, he did mention escalating arguments in the comment section, but it seemed kind of an addendum to the comment section getting larger, rather than the primary reason for the comments being closed
