Let's reflect on our favorite things and events that are a distant 30 years ago and further back.

Because why not?

I mock the eighties a lot, but the fact is that I'm simply tsun-tsuning for an era where Heavy Metal was played on pop charts.

I remember not existing, that was pretty cool.

Chances are, I'm not actually wearing any pants right now.

I inherited a lot of the eighties by product of not having cable and seeing reruns of G.I. Joe and Transformers on UHF stations.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

I remember going with my dad to buy a car from some old lady. It was nighttime, but everything was so bright.

I too remember not existing then, but I still like the music.

^ I know right? I was 3 to 13 in the 80's.

Carburetors.

Turbocharged everything. (...especially turbo Buick Regals - going fast with class.)

4th generation Corvettes.

Toyota AE-86 Corollas.

Kids toys that were made out of metal, and lots of it.

Betamax videos in school.

Reel-to-reel videos in school.

80 cents for a hot lunch in school.

The second Back To The Future, at the very least, has a hilariously Zeerusty sequence set in 2015.

^ Ah, yes, that was the funny part about the second one, looking at it in hindsight.

Oooo, Red Dawn.

Ah, the days in which the Soviet Union still existed and were demonized in media. I miss those guys.

I miss my Combining Mecha Voltron. I don't think I can go back and watch it now though.

I had that issue when I tried watching Transformers again.

I'll just sit here humming the My Little Pony theme song, is that okay? I have to hum because I don't remember the words.

Definitely Thundercats.

Transformers the animated Movie? Where a bunch of them died? Holy crap.

Also, "Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer" wasn't half-bad.

I recall mostly cartoons. Well, they're known as 80s cartoons but I watched them in the early 90s... The Gummy bears, Inspector Gadget, The Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, Care Bears, My Little Ponies, Fraggle Rock, The Muppet Show, Rainbow Bright.... Man I watched a lot of cartoons >_>
