Yep. Looks JAFAAC to me.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyYeah, there's quite a variety of potential images for this. I'd suggest going with an example that doesn't double as an example of one of the subtropes, though I wouldn't suggest avoiding that altogether either.
On a sidenote, the Pink Boy, Blue Girl subtrope image has the girl in the dress and the guy in a suit. I think something like "Samus X Pit" (well, if that particular example, then a safe-for-work one of them of course... you would be surprised how much of the shipping fanart of them is filthy) would be clearer... that trope, too, has quite an abundance of examples, though, and I figure if "Samus X Pit" doesn't cut it, there are plenty more options to choose from.

This is dead easy.◊ It may not fit the trope exactly, but it gets the point across and doesn't risk JAFAAC.

I'm fine with the Visual Pun.
Fight smart, not fair.Me too. It's self-explainatory and fits.
I'll take Magnets for the win, Peter.

I'd prefer it not be a visual pun.
So can we use the magnet picture? It seems to be a pretty good summary and the current image needs to be replaced sometime.
Count this as another vote against the Visual Pun. It's just pointless, and might even generate some confusion. Just show a guy and girl visibly in a relationship yet clearly quite different from each other.
I like Visual Pun solutions more than most people, but the magnets aren't doing it for me. And I think we should be able to find a more on-point image anyway, it's not like it's an inherently nigh-unpicturable trope.
I don't think the current image is all that bad; it's at least a step down the right path, as the characters do seem "different."
Jet-a-Reeno!Kittens?◊ Punk and normal girl?◊

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAw, I like the kitties!
Jet-a-Reeno!I like the punk. I'd prefer a frumpier/plainer girl, but I can live with that image.
Fight smart, not fair.I want to approve of the kitties, but I can't. It's very cute, but... that doesn't really help.
The punk/plain girl pic is pretty good, although I wish her face was a little clearer.
I don't think cats and dogs count as opposites.
Rhymes with "Protracted."That, and this is supposed to mainly be about COUPLES. A dog and a cat as a couple seems like something out of a cartoon... that the pic is of a real cat and dog just seems unfitting.
Samus X Pit shipping comes to mind for me, (on a sidenote, I strongly recommend safesearch if you are to look for alternative images) though perhaps that may be better for Pink Boy, Blue Girl, as I said earlier on. But with the variety of examples, and the variety of subtropes, I would think it should not be too difficult to find a fitting image of this trope.
EDIT: And here is the Samus X Pit one cropped to within TV Tropes width limit:
IF it is a good pic for either trope, I suppose it would then be a matter of getting the permission of the artist, but I just want to find out first if it is.

I can't see any indication that they're the trope in the image.

Nominations for replacement images:
The page image for Opposites Attract doesn't seem to have any real indication as to why the two are opposites. It seems like a fairly easy trope to find a quick good picture for, though.
