Sims growing up? That's what I thought of.

Additional info. Apparently, it just adds stuff to the life stages of each Sim. (ie. Midlife crisis.)
Jonah FalconWe're posting Sims news now?
...because...
I'm all about that...
...I can quit anytime I want!
Well, we have a thread on Sims Medieval somewhere.

Read my stories! It's The Sims. The chances of the games getting a crapload of expansion packs is about as certain as ex-USSR couuntries exchanging maximum points at Eurovision.

So basically, more Aspirations, more Lifetime Wishes, and more positive/negative moodlets.
Dang it, I want them to do Seasons already. We got most of the Sims 1 and 2 equivalent stuff now, except pets and seasons.
Although I'd be happy with them splitting Child up into two groups - a not-yet schoolaged child and a schoolage child. Kind of bugged me that they went from toddler (roughly two years old) to what looks to be a eight or nine-year-old and going to school. Needs an intermediate step.

Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.I'm still playing Sims 2, myself.
If only because thanks to the Open for Business expansion I can rob the town blind of money and then live in lavish and ridiculous mansions, with such features as helipads and skating rinks.
And pvtnum, I didn't take you for a Sims-playing man.

Yeah, I'm full of surprises. Video cruelty potential, indeed.
I got my wife into it, actually, way back when it was the original game (2002 I think is when I introduced her to it). Then she got hooked and I think I bought all but one expansion for the first - all for the second - and I might be short some stupid sutff-packs for the latest one (which adds up to a serious chunk of money now that I think about it). She's into world-building and creating family dynasties, I'm more into playing a single family and chilling out.

Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.I like both the world building aspects and dynasty creating, as well. I also love making the Sims BOW TO MY WILL.
I still want pets. Puppies are a part of childhood, right? Put 'em in, whoever actually makes the expansion packs. That and billiards. It would be the perfect expansion pack and sell zillions.

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat. This is just depressing. For each few months spent developing a Sims-related game or expansion pack, the chances of Maxis (or whatever that is left of them) ever releasing a new Sim City grows ever more slimmer.

According to Wikipedia, Visceral Games are the guys who develop the expansion packs, not Maxis.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Not the kind of name you would associate with the The Sims games, is it? It was less comically inappropriate when they were EA Redwood Shores.
It still doesn't explain why Maxis hasn't worked on anything since Spore, and that game isn't all that good to begin with. I'm under the impression EA gave up on Maxis' risky endeavors and decided to concentrate their investment on The Sims.
To put things to perspective, the last SimCity game for the PC (a Tilted Mills game) was released in 2007, and the last two SimCity games yet (by Hudson Soft) were released for the Wii and DS in 2008, a year before Sims 3. How fair is that?

Games take a long-ass time to develop.

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Needs a new Sim City so that we can make Sims 3 town templates.
And import Sims 3 characters into your Sim City 5 city. Basically, Sims 3 but leaving it in city mode the whole tme and you have to manage the city, as opposed to a single family at one time.
The synergy between Sims 3 and an updated Sim City release could be AWESOME.
(they kind of had that between Sims and Sim City 4, but it was very limited.)

Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.If Sim City 5 ends up being like that, then I want it now.
I would so totally buy a Sims add-on that involved nothing but methods to kill them.
With blood where required.
Hell, for that matter I'd buy The Sims...
Don't you try anything, you baked good you. There's got to be more to this that that, right? EA wouldn't just stick a few unused animations from the base game and previous expansions, put them on a disk and sell it for an outrageous price, would they?
In all seriousness, there's already a Lifetime Reward in the base game called Midlife Crisis, so what's the point of that 'feature'?
Needs a new signature.I love The Sims 2's college expansion. I wish they'd do that for 3. Add a new "young adult" life stage.
Jonah FalconThere's already a young adult life stage in the base game. Barring some wrinkles, it's completely indistinguishable from the adult stage.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.No, I mean the college days.
