Just as well. From the bit I've read, it appears not to be about reincarnation. Rather, it's about the idea that the various things that separate us just aren't "metaphysically significant"— that they don't constitute a definite distinction between persons; that despite two humans having two different minds, existing in two different locations, points of time, etc., that they're still the same person. Why? Because in his view, the arguments for why they aren't the same person can also be applied to an individual person, so either everyone is the same person, or you aren't the same person today as you were yesterday. Also, he thinks the idea that we're all the same person is a good idea even if it can't be demonstrated to be true, because it provides a "metaphysical foundation for global ethics".
