I would imagine the fear is more based on rats in any case, and just extended to mice.

Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.

Nah, mice just look cute, but they can be nasty little buggers when they want to.

Most herbivores are willing to eat meat if the opportunity arises; they just don't actively hunt it.

After all, animals generally prefer it when their meals don't fight back or try to escape, and plants are not known for their reflexes.

Everyone knows mice are vicious carnivores when it comes to fairies. They're like sharks. One minute Tinkerbell is harvesting pixie-dust and the next minute BAM. Vored by a mouse.

Fairies are actually a sort of plant. Little known fact.

There are some fairy pokemon that don't look made of meat. Like... Jigglypuff or Gardevoir.

One's like cottoncandy and the other is...uhh...she kinda looks like a vegetable? (or paper)

Now here's an intriguing power. Ice Wall. What other magical abilities do our various characters possess, I wonder?

Also, SPLAT. I suppose a zombie demon spider is as squishy as any regular one.

Ith's a spellcaster, so it's thanks to her Erin can cast spells. The spells they can use are the kinds you might associate with a necromancer. (Ice, negative energy, raise dead, etc).

Though so far she's only used ice magic. I'm not sure she'll use any of the other things yet.

Elves get the shaft here, huh. Not that I'm complaining.

I guess Umami's illusions can't talk? Though given her initial rendition of Jeanne Noelle, it's probably just as well Umami doesn't try to imitate her voice.

Probably come out sounding like a J-pop star.

Correct. Umami's illusions are unable to speak.

You mean like if you punched it would your hand go through it?

No. If you punched dummy-Jeanne it'd thunk. Like when Bludkolt stabbed dummy-Liz.

Have you never seen a weasle before? Nasty little buggers. Big sharp teeth. Close relative of the salamander.

The terrible legend of Jeanne Noelle—lurking behind buildings and ominously leaning out.

Cole was drunk, so he gets Weasels confused with Weasles.

Matt, any chance you'd either be willing to send me some unlettered pages of The Dreadful or know where I could find some from another comic? I'm looking to get some lettering practice in.

You could always just download pages of various webcomics and use an art program to digitally remove the text before putting in your own. Or scan pages of comics you have (if you have a scanner that is) and then digitally remove the text.

The letterer for Atomic Robo linked me to a site that has a lot of good free fonts that aren't Comics Sans. I use one called Digital Script 2.0 (at least I think that's the name of it). Sadly I don't remember what the site was, since this was years ago.

That'd be blambot.com. I meant more along the lines of redrawing the balloons, setting the placement, sound effects, etc.
