It looks like Charsi has realised that Kit just heard her say that it's her own fault she got beaten up, because she chose not to sell sex. It's a pretty debatable interpretation, but it's how Kit will take it.

In other news, that's twice in one day for the Blade On A Stick. Works differently to the Dreadful, or more experienced user?

Petty as the prejudices against devkin are, selling sex doesn't hurt other people like gunslinging does. I think Charsi's current demeanor might merely stem her distaste for violence(against someone who came off as well intentioned earlier). Oh, and nice work on the backgrounds. It really adds to Kit being pissed and Charsi not being so.

That depends whether the person selling sex has a choice. In Kit's mind if she stops gunslinging then she won't have a choice.

Not saying I agree with her, but from that perspective telling her she shouldn't be a criminal is dangerously close to telling her to stay in the whorehouse. Really, what Charsi needs to do next is to suggest alternatives. Surely someone capable of regrowing a blown off head must be able to turn a profit in dangerous working conditions.

Assuming the other people in dangerous conditions are willing to work with her. There was a bit a while back about miners not wanting to be "close to hell" with a Devikin around.

Who regrew a head?

I suppose I'm assuming exactly what damage a sniper rifle to the head does to a devikin, but I figured it wasn't shown because it was quite extensive.

Nah it just hit her really hard in the head. It didn't blow it off.

Did it penetrate her skull? I'm curious whether we're discussing Super-Toughness or a Healing Factor.

It didn't penetrate her skull, just a bit of her skin. She still suffered the blunt trauma of it though, which is why she was knocked unconscious.

Devikin are highly resistant to normal weapons, but if you beat on them enough they will die eventually. Their skin can also be punctured but it takes a lot of force (like a bullet).

Kit is a super powered devikin. A regular devikin would probably have been killed by the sniper shot to the head, or at the least gotten brain damage.

Think of Kit sorta like Wolverine if his skin was also very resistant to trauma.

However this only applies to non magic/silver weapons. Kit's recent beating by the JDA's silver tonfa really hurt her, a lot more than she's currently letting on (she's got internal bleeding, cracked ribs, etc).

Also Charsi's weapon counts as a magical weapon, so it could chop Kit to pieces. (Assuming Charsi wants to do that).
