Deunified Plot Chaos- An Experiment in Multiplots

Since a few people have expressed interest in a idea like this.

Basically, just create a character. I'll provide guidelines for that soon. Send the character in to me- either via PM or by posting it (spoilered) in the thread. Then start writing.

It'll probably best if you read through what's already been written before you post.

Uhhhh... The setting? There is no setting yet. We'll be creating that as we go. If you need a mount? Feel free to create a species of animal geared towards your tastes. Need a way to get to Talova City from the Flying Fortress of Terachite? Invent a clockpunk air whale that will fly you there for 40 drachmas.

The only rules are; remember that you're only one character of many. Only one writer of a whole bunch. Don't make a Black Hole Sue, and we'll be set.

Gender: Female

Appearance:Rather short, with dark skin. She has brown hair, and blue eyes.

Backstory (OOC): She was raised among her family, a nomadic tribe of Sheltins (A race of Gnome-like people, skilled in Inventing.) They were attacked by a pack of Clock-Spiders, one day, though, and Ria was one of the few people left alive when the Clock Spider died. Since then, Ria has taken to wandering alone.

Powers (if any): Can hold a giant wrench as if it weighs nothing. Other than that, nothing.

Uhhhh... I'll start writing soon. Have school, though.

This sounds interesting, but what do we do with our character once we've PM'ed you or posted? Do we wait until you start a story, do we start our own story and start posting once everything's underway, or what?

Depending on what happens, I might join.

You start writing. It's all set in the same world, and all the events happen so that everyone can potentially hear about them, but you can just write a self-contained story if you want.

Uh, only if you offer your character up after you start writing.

Otherwise, if I don't turn down your character (Which I shouldn't), then you can start writing whenever.

It's basically just us writing a story, and building the setting for the story up along the way.

Sort of, I guess.

Only each of us gets to subtly guide the plot, so nobody is made irrelevant. And it's an exercise in plot building and setting building more than character building.

Hmm, now plot building is where I really need work. I can make characters, and I can set them lose in a wonderfully detailed world, but there's nothing for them to do in it.

Hmm... by subtly guiding the plot do you mean we chat with each other about the different ways we want to move the plot,  ^*

or every man for himself?

Has ADD, plays World of Tanks, thinks up crazy ideas like children making spaceships for Hitler. Occasionally writes them down.
