You know what's funny about Sonic Unleashed? I hear the music from Windmill Isle Day ALL THE TIME as background music in Youtube videos. Like, its not surprising to hear Sonic music in general pop up - Sonic music is generally fantastic - but Windmill Isle specifically seems to be very memorable to people.
I thought the song "Endless Possibilities" was the most popular song from Sonic Unleashed?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!it's not the kind of music that leads itself well for him on You Tube videos.
I re-watched the first episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which was an Origins Episode, and I suddenly realized that since Sonic was telling the story, how did he know how Scratch and Grounder were created by Robotnik? Was he secretly there?
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Easy solution to trolley problem: Save red, throw chaos emerald or a fake to Shadow. He saves Tails and Amy.
I'm guessing that Sonic wasn't there to witness their creation, but the fact that Scratch and Grounder were robots in service to Dr. Robotnik made it easy for him to correctly assume that Robotnik was their creator. After all, who else in that show utilizes robots that are simultaneously that advanced and that dim?
A jazz band I follow that does video game covers recently did a cover of Windmill Isle: Day, and it turned out to be one of their best performing performances in a long while.
It's just a really good song, I guess. Can agree, Windmill Isle: Day's one of my favorite Sonic tracks too.
As for it's use in a lot of Youtube videos, that's probably because it's a fairly chill song that wouldn't overpower anything it's used as BGM for.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It also helps by being the theme for the first level, so it immediately makes a good impression and sets the tone of the game as soon as you have control of Sonic.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Speaking of songs, did you guys know about the sample used for the final boss song of Sonic Rush?
Lmao this has to be their best lego vid so far
Also, once again...Rouge marketing...don't think it's coincidental...
That's a good ad. It is interesting that Rougue is having quite a marketing focus, though this isn't new given she was made into a main character of Prime. Still, it does perhaps point at her appearing in the next film.
Do you know who that was?

I'll take my poison regarding the voice actress, she did good here.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Ironically, Sonic was the reason I picked up LEGO Dimensions when I got my PlayStation 4 in 2016.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Just saw the Sonic LEGO ad and man, Shadow was such an awesome character in that ad! I would love to see more ads like this one that's full of humor and clever writing!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Karen Strassman.
That LEGO ad was amazing — Kirk Thornton hamming it up as Shadow was especially entertaining.

"Karen Strassman."
Thanks
"Kirk Thornton hamming it up as Shadow was especially entertaining."
I don't know how popular his take on Shadow has been (frankly, I don't really know when each of the different voice actors voice him so can't personally judge how good Thornton normally is) but this video definitely shows he can be great in the role.

I wasn't able to hear much of Kirk Thornton's portrayal of Shadow over the years since Shadow barely showed up in the games for the last few years. But, this was definitely a fantastic performance from him!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Thornton is the voice of Shadow in every game starting with Free Riders. He's also in the Boom cartoon.
Sonic Man has become an official Sonic brand ambassador.
The man deserves it.
Yes, I know it's April Fools shhhhhh

I'm hoping there will be something to equal The MURDER of Sonic the Hedgehog this year!
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThe Trial of Sonic the Hedgehog? The Birth of Sonic the Hedgehog? The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog 2?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Omochao simulator? To be fair, I'd play that (I'm one of the few people who like Omochao, though that might just be because I like Laura Bailey).

Man, high level Sonic Adventure 2 speedrunning is so fun to watch. Especially Sonic's levels - You watch an expert play Final Rush and you really will believe he's the fastest thing alive.
I'm getting back to doing The Final Horizon.
When I first tried months ago, slipping and falling when trying to land on top of the First Trial Tower had sapped my desire to keep going, so I started playing other games. I didn't mind the actual platforming challenge, but doing it all over again because of a minor slip at the very end was just aggressively un-fun, especially when there was no good place to stop my fall and resume partway through. I figured even a halfway checkpoint could've helped.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyAfter trying again, and once again slipping a couple of times towards the end, I figured since I'd been playing the whole game on Hard mode, maybe was a checkpoint on Normal. Not as far as I could tell. So I dropped to Easy just to get it done, and it was insultingly easy, and I didn't feel good about such a drastic change.
So I tried ascending the second tower on Hard. And I misjudged a gap on the floating cubes at the end, trying to get from the big one to the intended next one. Sigh...
