Not to my knowledge but I don't see why they'd be incapable of doing it again.
Obviously, Nintendo could almost certainly do it but I fear that a main Sonic game made by Nintendo would end the world.

At the moment they appear to be in an extended "Video games are for adults, too, MOM!" phase to me.

S-Ranked Classic Seaside Hill, Normal Perfect Chaos, and Hard Metal Sonic
Hard Metal Sonic is still short but actually provides a challenge. Take note, Shadow.
Perfect Chaos is more of a stage than a boss but otherwise cool. That said, whose idea is it to take away Open Your Heart at the last phase?
