ITT: We are Opera characters

[Rhymind is not mandatory. Singing is.]

Another lazy Thurday. Sitting at my computer.
Made up a new ITT thread, gonna play a shooter.

This day will be entirely boring and dull.
I swear, I'm going to pop out of my skull.

But outside the window, something stood
Maybe hungry, looking for food?
Its eyes in the dark, shades of red shining out
Its words like a whisper, louder than a shout

"Dear tropers, get on your feet
For at nightfall, destinies meet
See you at the garden, before Friday for the roosters
Careful until then, there will be monsters."

Gasp! What is this mysterious plea?
Sounds more fun than playing a Wii.

Perhaps I should go to the garden at dusk.
Lest I be reduced to a lifeless, empty husk.

I went to my room and opened my bag
Finding it lying like a rotting old hag
I knew it's not going to pack itself
And neither will my room clean up...itself

Out came the snack bags, the sweatpants and the dead flies
In came the new clothes, the maps and the pies
And last but not least, a PSP Go
It might sucks balls, but I couldn't let go\

Preparing for this meeting, I took out my stuff.
Throwing them around, being a bit too rough.
Finally ready, my equipment was under my gaze.
I even had a long wooden cane, just in case.

I whistled a bit as I packed everything.
Finally some action! I felt like a king.
Eventually hefting the cane over my shoulder
Toward the garden, like a rolling boulder.

But little did I know, that I was under watch
From the shadows, like a black, evil blotch.
Some mean creature that I never once saw
With razor-sharp teeth, and a huge maw.

[This actually isn't like an opera at all, but I like this format too much. We're keeping it.]

Ay! Come here, kitty, kitty!
I called out to my little pretty.
I hate rhyming like no other,
So here is a set of lines one other.
The Germanics did poetry better, I say
With a stronger focus on alliterative play
As for rhyming? Naw, strong rhythm's where it's at
Also I have no idea what an opera actually looks like... wearing a mat.
Oh yeah, I suck at making rhythm too,
You know what, all poetry can go drown in the blue.
And this is me without a specific subject!
As we don't have to memorize oral tradition anymore, to this "poetic form" I strongly object!

Forsooth it is I, Oh why oh why, Does my heart fail? The beat you see, Is nothing to me, But to her, it is everything, I must hope you understand, That this poem is not bland, VICTORIAAA!!!!
