I suppose I would fall under Agnostic. I do believe in a god, I just don't believe that any of the current religions are correct.

Why lump in Anti-theists with Atheists and Agnostics? That makes no sense.

that's why I separate the religion from the philosophy. a religious Buddhist believes in reincarnation (at least most of them do) but a philosophical Buddhist takes the hippyish mindset and leaves the rest in the ash pile.

because anti-theism is (according to hitchens and dawkins) just extremely strong atheism.

I don't think you understand togetherness.

I'm confused as to how 'Gnostic' is being used in this sense.

Apathetic agnostic. Is religiously Buddhist.

I'm confused as to how 'Gnostic' is being used in this sense.

«gnostic» knowledge is divine knowledge, so «agnostic means «lack of knowledge of the divine», basically.

Right, but I'm wondering if this group is also for people with knowledge of the divine, since the thread name includes Gnostics as welcome.

(Not that theists aren't welcome, but I figured this would be atheist/agnostic/humanist focused.)

I suppose I would fall under Agnostic. I do believe in a god, I just don't believe that any of the current religions are correct.
The term I've heard for that is "deist". Agnostic is "I don't know if God exists or not" ("and I don't care, either" is optional).

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

«deism» has more implications, like the one god being something like the Biblical one, and having a hands-off attitude towards creation.

Hands off, like a clockmaker? He just built the universe and let it run?

...Then yes, I'd probably fall under deist.

And probably not 'Torper', either.

OK, I fixed the typos and removed 'Gnostic' because it didn't really seem to fit the name.
