Great, welcome to 2004
I dont know why they let me out, I guess they needed a spare bed-Zeromaeus looks at his DS and back to the screen. Inside his DS rests a copy of Pokemon Diamond, 101% completed, aside from Arceus. Fucking Arceus. He looks in his other hand to find a preorder for Pokemon Black and White-

You should have picked Torchic.
Screw you, Sceptile's awesome.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.To hell with you two, Swampert is beast.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderFLAMING KUNG-FU CHICKEN!
Blaziken is awesome.
Then again, the fire starter is always the best.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThe fire chicken gets SPEED BOOST in Gen V. OH YEAH!
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!but you don't understaaaaaaand
you get a swampert and he's all like "you need me to swamp that? cause i can swamp that for you"
and you're all like "wow, swampert, clearly you are the best pokemon ever
and he's all like "i no rite?"
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderThen my Blaziken jumps in, uppercuts the Swampert into the air and Tetsupyaku's it into oblivion.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinairesee man, what did i tell ya? these people have gots no respect for other pokemon, it's just all violence violence violence
you ever think that maybe a swampert didn't want to fight, man? maybe he was just all like "hey, dude, let's be friends and shit"
and then you punch him in the face
is that how you greet everyone? meaningless violence?
i'm taking terry to a less violent enviroment, where people appreciate him for who he is and not his exp value
see ya
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderMy Blaziken, Ryu, lives to fight! Just like my Scizor assassinates people in the dead of night. Its in their nature.
Slowpoke, on the other hand...
Mega Man fanatic extraordinairedang, man, nature or not, you can't just go around punching people
i mean, like, what if i started to eat your legs off and i was all like "it's cool, broseph, it's in my nature, this happens all the time"
you wouldn't be like "yeah, that's fine, bro" you'd be like "dude, stop eating my leg. i need that to walk and stuff.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI love you Sceptile.
i'm not really sure why i'm an italic stoner all of a sudden
it's not like my shit key is broken, it's just like...whoah, man, look at the colors!
any i'm kinda leaving in some typos because that's just how it was meant to be, you know? all trippy and shit.
maybe swampert has like some hallucigenic skin or some shit like that, i don't know
how high do you even have to be to do something like this
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderITT Deathonabun has been licking his Croagunk.
Reminds me of that time I smoked a Bellossom. Man, Team Rocket has the best shit.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireOH SHIT IT'S GAMZEE

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Where is my "Da fuck is going on in this thread- OH LAWDY!" macro when I need it?
I'm having to learn to pay the priceRegi thing is still the most convoluted thing in pokemon yet. And if you figure it out, it's still a lot of work.
I think this thread needs a Defog >_>
don't be hatin', bro

Sorry, force of habit.
Well, some months after finishing gen 2 I went on to 3.
First of all, what game to start with? Finishing Colosseum allows trading to unfinished copies of the other games. If I wanted to trade before finishing the game, I had to play Colosseum first. I finally decided to play in order instead (sort of—I picked Emerald, which is not really in order, but R/S which it's based on is.)
The first order of business was to get a copy of the game. I used Ebay and got the game (Emerald) long before I started playing. Of course I ended up with a bootleg and could not return it since I had bought it long before I started playing. I had to go looking for a real one.
Finding copies of Pokemon Emerald is not hard if you want to pay Gamestop prices. Gamestop prices are $40 used—more than many new DS games. Supply and demand, I suppose. I finally found one for $30 at a flea market. The vendor also had several very obvious bootlegs.
Decided to fill my Pokedex as much as possible and use all necessary guides for Guide Dang It! moments like evolution and what level attacks are learned so I can do delayed promotions. (Which is not how I played Gen II. And for Gen I I filled the Pokedex by abusing the Mew glitch.) Filling the Pokedex is boring and I'm probably not going to try again.
I had 206 Pokemon in the Pokedex by the end; a few I'll have to get from Colosseum/XD later. (I gave up on Latios, after trying to find the rover for a while.) The plot is still an Excuse Plot and I can't say the games have gained much substance unless you want to do things like competitive battling or filling the Pokedex. I gather that Gen 4-5 aren't much better. And they are really heavily Guide Dang It!.
TMs I mostly found Too Awesome to Use since there was always the possibility of finding a better Pokemon to use them on later and I had no trouble surviving without them. Finally used a couple on a Salamence near the end. I can understand why Gen 5 makes them reusable.
It is annoying not being able to get any event Pokemon or trade with other people since I'm playing 6 years after the game came out. It's also annoying not being able to trade with other Gen 3 games before finishing. (Incidentally, it's amusing that you're supposed to trade event Pokemon from Gen 4 to Gen 5 to unlock content—and they had to add a specific method of trading designed only to trade those particular Pokemon, because otherwise you can't do that before the end of the game.)
I got a Milotic, which was totally useless. Reason: My HM slaves were a Tropius and a Gyarados. The Milotic is a water Pokemon and thus the Gyarados makes it redundant.
Contrary to claims on this wiki, the Regi- golems are not Guide Dang It!; aside from a braille chart, I only used a guide because I hadn't written down the location of their resting places and didn't feel like searching for them.
Final party: Tropius, Gyarados, Salamence, Aggron, Sceptile, and whatever Pokemon I was trying to level at the time. For the Elite Four Tropius was replaced by Rayquaza.
