Eires blinked and paused, removing their headphones.

They turned around, checking the surroundings.

"Hell in a handbasket, Ori. Can't just walk up the stairs like everyone else?" They asked with a smirk.

"Kora says 'if you've got it, flaunt it.' 99% sure that wasn't in the context of cosmic energy manipulation but it's open to interpretation."

Homura's Room

Homura: (had been sitting at a desk looking over something, turns her head to the door) ... (reaches over to turn down the volume without looking) Something to help pass the time when all there was to do was wait.

Eires laughed.

"That sounds like her, all right."

"Waiting for...what? Or is this one of those super dramatic, secret project kinda things? ...In which case I'm still gonna ask, but more politely."

"She's...yeah, rubbing off on me but I like to hope I'm a good influence on my big sister as well."

Homura's Room

Homura: (appears to consider for a moment) ...an ongoing thing. Do you know about Sayaka? (And the fact that that big blue ball that used to be in this room isn't now?)

"Oh yeah, your buddy we tried to help when I...lost my...freakin' mind, anyways yeah I remember her!"

Homura: Well, the good news is that she has left her containment.

"Makes sense to me. At least...well, I haven't been around as much but I haven't heard anything bad."

"Oh, that's good...there's a catch isn't there, what's the catch."

"...We always talk about me, what's going on with you?"

"Ohhhh crap, you don't gotta remind me of that. You said that name like ya saw a ghost - it's when she turns evil and crazy and stuff, right?"

"I...I don't even really know. Uh, I've been painting. Again. I started again, I mean."

-He goes back to his bedroom to get his stuffed rabbit.-

Homura: Stable so far. Thankfully. The pool seems to help keep her from being agitated about her cumbersome condition.

"Is she, like...evil...?"

"What? No, really. I'm good."

-it's never been that obvious before, but for once...that cool, disinterested exterior wasn't really there. A calmer, less, not less confident, no, less guarded attitude prevailed. Not a cool collected badass with a steeled soul, just an adult trying to socialize without the skills to-
