First and third person gameplay, Heroes confirmed.
Note that none of this was actual gameplay footage and all scripted. This tells us nothing about the game itself aside from it looking nice and there being jetpacks for the Rebels.
Edit: No female rebels like the last games from what I could see(Rebel Snipers were female before).

That was very cool xD Well worth the wait. I like how instead of having most of the Rebels be humans there were a lot of aliens mixed in too.
It may not be in-game, but it was apparently in-engine, which considering how Battlefield and its cutscenes look I'm perfectly willing to believe that's from it.

They said it was in-engine footage though? They used the game engine to create the trailer.
Hot damn! This is looking very nice indeed. More and more reasons to save up for a PS 4. I have fond memories of Battlefront, specifically, playing it with a friend at 4 in the morning when an 8.8 earthquake struck. Good times.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Just four planets? How many maps are we getting on each planet 1? 2 tops?
Of course it will likely be increased by DLC but the amount of content sounds pathetic, those maps better be big.
And the lack of space battles makes me question buying this at full price.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. So, if there's only four planets, no space battles, and (evidently) no prequel trilogy, is there actually less content than the other two games?
This song needs more love. They haven't announced all the content yet, guys.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!True. To be honest in that one post that showed those two links I saw nothing about them saying there would be no space battles.
Seriously, Endor's space battle is probably even more prolific than the ground war!
Fair enough, I just really want to like this game but what I've seen so far hasn't impressed me. But there is a lot of time until November so I really shouldn't dismiss it so quickly.

This song needs more love. They actually asked:
Hm. I wonder why.
...did the rebels have jetpacks in the OT?
I never watched all of Episodes V an VI so, shrug.
I tentatively await actual footage from the game. The first two games were all kinds of fun when I was a kid. The 501st campaign, hog-tying AT-AT's was a bitch but I know the computer seemed to be able to do it.
Maybe the ground maps are 10x larger and they wanted to focus on/isolate that experience. That, or DICE is just used to ground combat and space presents too big of a challenge.
Or... maybe they're releasing space battles as future DLC, along with more planets.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!No they didn't
It's likely the Jetpack is class-specific.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! It's just I remember Jet Troopers in Battlefront II, so I really wasn't sure.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yeah, the clone troopers had a jet pack guy, and so did the Empire.
If they can find some way to have Kyle Katarn, Mara Jade and Thrawn to show up...
They can have three maps for all I care
Dark Troopers were the shit. They could get you halfway across the map in three seconds.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah but you had to be careful since the gun while could pretty much kill the first guy in one shot the second and third guy would get you if you weren't careful
They specifically said no space battles, but the trailer explicitly showed a lot of aerial combat with X-Wings and Tie Fighters. It doesn't feel quite right to have a Star Wars game in this console generation without Space Combat, but we aren't missing out on dogfights and bombing enemies.
True.
That Walker Assault game type sounds like it's going to be really fun, though. I can imagine it being a lot like the Hoth map in the first two games.
If they're focusing on "epic planetary battles," maybe that means the "fight on the ground and in the atmosphere" idea is back from the old try at a new Battlefront game.

It was fun but it really needed some fine tuning
