Attacking enemy space stations and their orbital defenses, perhaps?
Yeah, that might help along with having maybe different models of ships other than just a capital ship and two escorts...
I hope we can call Jedi into battle again.
Playing as one was alright, but I always got a kick out of guarding "Lord Vader" back in Battlefront 1.
Also, "reinforcements" never seemed to arrive for me in the Conquest mode. I hope... I hope they rework that so that it's a more noticeable boost.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).That is the main thing, there is a lot of ways they can take this IP but all they have to do is make what looks like a legitimate Battlefront III (not a Battlefield or COD clone) and it is guaranteed to be in the Game of the Year crowd. It's very nice they are going above and beyond what they need to in order to make the game, but just build on the foundation and we'll be happy.
I want this game, hard, but when they started talking about how invested they were all I got were Colonial Marines flashbacks.
I wonder if the Clone Commander will make a return? By far my favorite class, just as soon as I got rid of that crap pistol.
I loved Battlefront 2. Maybe I should whip out the old PS 2 again.
"Marth likes just the tip, Lucina likes the whole thing."My copy of Battlefront 2 got played to the point where it stopped working.
This game will be produced by EA, and thus doing it through PC would require Origin, yes?
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.I have some nice BF 2 memories. Namely, playing it at 4 in the morning with a friend when a grade 8.9 earthquake hit (in a wooden house, to boot). My first thought was "aw dammit, the power's gonna go out" and it did.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I actually hope they take stuff from Battlefield in it. Like say a blast from a walker's main cannon will cause a big explosion and shake the ground near you, fighters are fast and nearly impossible to hit with small arms, stuff like that. Some of the biggest set-piece sequences are the best part of the BF games that I've played (haven't gotten 4 yet due to the bugs but still) and i can't wait to see them do that in Star Wars :D
I'm seriously excited about the graphics overhaul alone. Hoth in HD? Oh man...*drool*
I have so many memories of Battlefront II that its not even funny. When 3 was announced, it had me AND my sister squealing. And she hasn't been excited for any game besides the latest Animal Crossing.
Lotus Juice looks like his nameAt the very, very least, being on Hoth and being in any way involved with the AT-A Ts - driving one, wrapping one up with the tow cables, hell, even walking besides it - will be absolutely amazing.
So, what maps do you think will be in? Hoth and Endor are guaranteed, of course. I'm guessing that at the very least, we will get Geonosis, Kashyyk, and something set on Tatooine.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.I better get my Felucia too! Heck, they can honestly keep the same setups for most of the maps (or at least have seperate BF 2 versions) but I have way too many Conquest memories on that map to have it changed now.

Lotus Juice looks like his nameProbably get at least one level for each movie to recreate those battles, so add in Naboo and the Death Star, plus something from Episode VII.
Oh goody, more Jar Jar killing XD
The Battlefront series typically has a battlefield on every planet visited in the movies, no matter how briefly and how illogical, cause they included Mustafar and Dagobah in that list. The one thing I really want is for some strategically important planets (Like Coruscant, not merely plot important planets like Tatooine) to have multiple maps, featuring different aspects of their environment. For galactic conquest it requires you to establish orbit superiority AND all maps before you have control of the planet, which makes it a more valuable planet in general. Taking into account some of the major planets also highlighted in The Clone Wars and my wish list the potential maps would be:
From the Movies:
- Corsucant:
- Three maps- Skyline, Senate Building and Jedi Temple
- Tatooine
- Will probably be one of Mos Eisley and one of Jabba's Palace, out of tradition
- Death Star: (would be kind of cool to have an orbital battle around it)
- Tantive IV
- Yavin 4
- Hoth
- Bespin
- Dagobah
- Endor
- Naboo
- Two Maps- Theed and the Prairies
- Kamino
- Geonosis
- Three Maps- An Arena, Open Battlefield and HQ Complex (with a cave system underneath)
- Kashyyk
- Utapau (I can imagine a next gen game make a battlefield that is located within the ring of those giant sink holes)
- Mygeeto
- Felucia
- Mustafar
- Polis Massa
From The Clone Wars:
- Mandalore
- Ryloth
- Two Maps- Capital City and a Canyon
- Umbara
- Christophsis
- Nal Hutta
- Possibly two maps: Nar Shaddaa and Nal Hutta proper
- Raxus
- Three Maps: Raxus Secundus (Separatist Capital), Raxus Prime (junkyard), Shipyard
- Lola Sayu: The Citadel (cause frankly that would be an awesome map)
- Onderon

Two things
1: Does anyone want a steam code for battlefront 2? I got it in a bundle but I already have a copy.
2: Star wars bundle, homies! https://www.humblebundle.com/
Great stuff on sale, I had no idea republic commandos was available on PC.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Sure. If you're interested I could swap you a gift version of Don't Starve Together I got in a bundle.
I'm baaaaaaackYeah, they're gonna screw this up big time.
Mostly because in the (admittedly limited) material we've seen from the actual game, there's absolutely no inkling of anything from the Clone Wars, and all the promotional material is based entirely on OT nostalgia. DICE, if you screw up my Battlefront...oh, man.
Motherfucking OT loyalists. I only ever play GCW as a novelty. The CW era just straight-up has more interesting tech. Sigh...
The new trilogy is a sequel trilogy. It's closer to the OT. We've had limited promotional material, and they're linking this game to the new stuff by way of the OT. Until the game comes out and there are reviews by players, don't jump the gun here.
So, the trailer reveal is within two days, The EA Star Wars Instagram is slowly revealing the picture of a Stormtrooper (all put together◊), and an unconfirmed insider leak has stated that it will have both first and third person modes.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Oh, yes.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Looks like the old style helmet too!
I'm baaaaaaackAw, I was hoping we could see the new Stormtrooper helmet design but I guess the movie won't be out before the game.
Updated "all together" image.
Oh, and BTW: DICE has confirmed that this is an in-game render.
OH YES. Better engine would probably mean they could be better than "fighter combat attacking systems while the ships just sat there" Maybe like broadsides between cruisers, but no system-destroying and just fighter combat instead.
