The warranty comes from the place you bought them. It depends on the wording of the warranty whether you voided it by taking them somewhere else to have them installed...

If they act like dicks and you need to buy new tires, I recommend Discount Tire, I've used them for almost a decade and never had any fuss. Plus you get the lifetime rotation dealie.

^^You've simply made me more confused, as Tire Rack is an online tire store, that delivers to local shops for install.

Talk to the tire shop about what happened, mention that you got the tire from Tire Rack, and ask if there's anything you have to do about the warranty. I'd also check the site for any information.

Okay, five months ago I bought 4 Continental tires for my car from Tire Rack. Today, one of them got a sidewall puncture, and can't be repaired, but is under a road hazard/tire defect warranty. The thing is, the place I got them installed does not sell Continental tires. What I'm wondering is who I talk to, about a prorated replacement tire, Tire Rack, or the Tire Shop (The warranty is a little vague about this, because it assumes you bought them from the place they were installed at).
