That does sound like a lot of people. But a bit strange since we've held the Olympics before.
Can I still be a part of this Coven even if I won't be living in Canada anymore?
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonWell I dont think there were ever that many spectators for one event at the Olympics.
I don't see why not. Where are you moving to?

California.
No more -20 degree temperatures for me!
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonYou're just going to have to stuff yourself in the fridge every winter then.
Nice! Going there for school?
It's a bit of a long story why we're going.

Regardless, I hope you have a nice move and enjoy your new city.
I pretty much live on the Canadian border - I can see BC from my window practically. Does that count as being a Canadian for this subforum?
Probably not, but I'm from B.C., so we are probably close by, well maybe not you could be seeing the opposite end of the province from me. And you can probably hang out with us anyways.

Well, (Canadian) winter is coming. But first, fall. Anyway, it's not so warm any more here in the GTA.
(There's also this election thingy but I don't know if this is the right place to talk about that.)

Meanwhile, now that I am in California, I can just sit back and watch the madness unfold.
(Both the winter and the election.)
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI'm likely to envy you immensely in a couple months.
As for politics, I doubt I'll ruffle any feathers if I say that I'm no fan of Stephen Harper.
I don't think you ruffled any feathers.
I'm with the "anyone but Harper" crowd myself.
At least I don't have to sit through Quebec provincial politics anymore.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonYeah not the most controversial opinion.
"At the risk of being unpopular, I wish to state that I dislike an unpopular person!"
(Unpopular with what I'm gonna guess are a majority of tropers, at least.)

This is actually quite relaxing. A casual mention of politics that doesn't result in someones fingers being (literally) bit off. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying the new temperature.
So, no more Harper! Now to see precisely how much Trudeau will change. I hope it's a lot, but I'm more than a bit worried that he won't do enough... :/
Yeah I mean he seems pretty close to the status-quo but I think some people are relieved it's gone back to that.
This winter has been...inconsistent, hasn't it?
Indeed it has. Some mild rain yesterday and clear skies today in Montreal. Surprisingly mild weather for February.
Meanwhile here it's been nothing but rain, rain, rain hey waitasecond.
How was it, people who are actually still in Canada?
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI was going through this thread and it kind of looks like a giant list of Canadian small talk To answer your question: "Oh shit! I should have/have not brought my coat."
The weather's quite nice here but we need more rain and it's not Canada.

So apparently 53000 ppl is a record attendence for an international match featuring Canada, in any sport
