Hey Fox News, you know what else has tons of rape and violence? The Bible.

@Chagen46: Well, I doubt he's the only parent to do that, but unfortunately, like I said, the parents that do pay attention to ratings and exercise their parental discretion don't make the news and don't get mentioned by the "experts".

EDIT: Ninja'd on to a new page.

I'm not sure. tongue What does confuse me is when banned books are about much milder topics than the Bible. I don't want a thread derail so I won't go further into this.

Eh, If Fox News was ever right about anything, I should've been ripping people's heads off, running in loop de loops, and collecting gold coins. And apparently raping women.

TV tropes is like a double-edged sword. It both ruins and improves my life somehow.

Someone was saying that they weren't aware of any scholarly research to back up these claims, well, this guy might count:

http://www.psychology.iastate.edu/~caa/

But then, he thinks Mario Kart is too violent.

I emailed him once and he said that strategy games like Civilization that abstract the carnage into game pieces don't count. I suppose that makes sense, as long as people never get to command wars by internet...
