The aforementoned human-turned-Meowth is curled up on the Skittynip patch.

Skye: <...Alli, we kind of need you to->

Alli: <Nya.>

Skye: <...As I was saying, we->

Alli: <Nyaa.>

Skye: <...Alli...>

Alli: <Nyaaa~>

Ten minutes later

Alli: <Nyaaaa->

Skye: <ALLI.>

Alli: <...Eep...>

Skye: <We're leaving. Come.>

Alli nervously obliges.

Skye: <...I guess we'll come and meet you after a while...>

Diane nods slowly, then goes inside. Skye, Alli, Olaf, and Adel leave.

Diane's Mom: <Diane! There you are! We've been so worried...>

Diane's Dad: <Where've you been!? We thought you'd dropped off the face of the planet!>

Diane hesitates

Diane: <Erm... I... kind of... did?> ._.

Mom: <What are you...>

She glances at her husband, and finally understands.

Treasure Town

Skye and co. are searching through town. Skye is glomped from the side by... Eskay?

Eskay(?): <Skye! There you are!>

Skye: <Oh! ...What are you doing here?>

Eskay(?): <Listen, Skye, there's something I've wanted to tell you...>

Skye looks at him skeptically. He had ignored her question. He never ignores questions.

Skye: <...And what might that be?>

He leans closer to her.

Eskay(?): <I think... I think I'm in love with you...>

... ... ...

Skye: <...You're not fooling anymon, Doopliss.>

Eskay Doopliss: <Dammit... you're good, Slick...>

He reverts back to Ditto form.

Diane's House

Dad: <...You found out, huh? That you're actually human?>

Diane: <Yeah... how did you know?>

Mom: <...We are, too...>

Her dad nods in agreement.

Dad: <Your mom met me in that world about... seventeen years ago... She showed me to this world, and I loved it... so we decided to stay here. We then made a visit to that world a year and a half later, and then... she had you. We took you here to live, because... we thought you'd like it here.>

Diane: <And you never told me this...>

Mom: <We were actually going to tell you soon after you... left... How did you find out, anyway?>

Treasure Town

Wilbur: <Come on, give it back! That pearl is worth more than my life!>

Smugleaf: <Yeah, give it back and leave us alone!>

Bully!Dewott: <Come on, you're still alive, aren't you? Surely it can't be that bad. It's only a pearl.>

???: <You know, those scalchops of yours look real tasty... I'm sure you wouldn't mind having the shoved down your throat.>

The Dewott turns around to see the form of a Grumpig.

Bully!Dewott: <...Ah-heh... On second thought, this probably means a lot to you, doesn't it, little Spoink?>

He nervously puts the Pearl back on Wilbur's head, then absconds.

Grumpig!Doopliss: <...You owe me, Slick.>

Diane's House

Diane: <You see... I met this Noctowl, Eskay... and I showed him around town, since he was new around here... We talked for a while, then eventually we decided to go to the Guild to form a Rescue team. Then after a few missions... he said he had somewhere else to go... And I said I wanted to tag along...>

Mom: <I'm going to take a wild guess... it's because you like him... that way, don't you?>

Diane: <Well, um... yes, that was why...>

Her mom smiles at her

Mom: <I see... anyway, go on.>

Diane: <...It turned out he was going through a portal to his world, the one with humans... the one we're from...>

Dad: <...I guess that explains it... but why haven't you come back until now?>

Spinda Cafe

Dax and Kong are playing poker. Yes. They're playing poker. That's how they've spent the last hour.

Dax: <All in.>

He pushes his entire pile of Poke into the center.

Kong: <~Hmm... he could be bluffing... but should I risk it? ...Perhaps I should play it safe...~ ...I'm... gonna fold here...>

Dax smirks

Dax: <Bluffin'. You should be able to tell when I'm lying, Kong.>

Diane: <I... really haven't had much chance to... I'm sorry, I really am...>

She winghugs her parents, starting to cry a bit...

Dad: <It's okay, sweetheart... now you're here...>

Diane: <B-but... that's the thing... I want to go back... Not because I still have a c-crush on Eskay, I've g-gotten over that.. it's just... they're some of my best friends...>

Mom: <I see...>

Her mom pats her on the back...

She runs over ang hugs her, crying softly on her shoulder.

Mom: <These must be those friends you were talking about...>

Skye nods. Diane's mom sighs.

Mom: <They do seem like a good group... and you see very close with... Skye, your name was?>

Skye: <Yes... and yes...>

Dad: <Well... I guess this is goodbye...>

Diane: <Y-yes... g-goodbye...>

Skye walks out, comforting Diane. Her mom wipes a tear from her eye...
