It was for Lake to believe that he had to be taught how to hunt when he was young. Hunting was something that he just did without thinking about. Even if he wasn't so keen on killing innocent fish Pokémon. Which was why he always apologized afterwards.

He then remembered that he was currently sharing his train of thought with another Pokémon who had probably heard that last train of thought.
