ITT: We are all Pokémon Trainers

Lake was fine with the Espeon climbing on him - his claws wouldn't pierce his thick hide. However, he felt slightly uncomfortable as the psychic Pokémon dived into his memory, delving much much deeper than before, unearthing memories he had long since forgotten about.

He couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia wash over him as he found his memory of being back at the lab with Basil and Cinder. It felt like an eternity since he had been a young Totodile waiting to be chosen by a potential trainer.

However, the Espeon wasn't done here. Deeper still, he went, into the darkest rescissions of his mind where even he had no idea what they would find.

Perhaps the answers he was searching for would be there.

Outside Treasure Town

Saix: Rrrgh, this is a waste of time...

Hatchet: Whoa, dude. Do NOT say that around Rhyme.

Rhyme: Say what?

Saix: That this is a waste of ti- MMMPH!

Hatchet: -is covering Saix's mouth- He's just being SILLY. Aren't you, Saix bunny? -leers at Saix-

Saix: -pulls Hatchet's claw off his mouth- Fine, I was. Just never call me "Saix bunny" again.

-Suddenly, Haar and Hydreigon land in front of them-

Saix: WOAH!

Hatchet: Hey, Dad. >_>

Haar: Hello, Hatchet, Rhyme, and... your new Nidoking friend.

Saix and Rhyme: We're not friends!

Haar: No need to be so adamant about it. Anyway, I found the kids.

Rhyme: You did?! Lead us to them!

-Haar flies off, and they follow-

The biting. How could he forgot about all the biting? Were his siblings always that nippy? Lake was surprised he wasn't covered in scars!

apart from that, though, the memory was too foggy to receive any other sensations or even attempt to help remember things more clearly. Not yet, anyway. He would just have to let the Espeon do his job for the time being.

He did, however, have one thing to say to Skye, who he assumed was watching them both:

Krom: Ah, so you're that Nidoqueen they've been talking about!

- Saix, Hatchet, Haar, and Hydreigon also emerge from the trees at this point. The Iris group immediately starts prepping attacks-

Rhyme: It's OK, they're with me!

Krom: Even the Fraxure that snatched the kids in the first place?

Rhyme: Let's just say I have her under control.

Haar: As do I. Heh... This lot reminds me of my old Rescue Team...

Hatchet: Dad, this is not building the kind of reputation I want. >_>

Spectrum: <Would you happen to know what sandwiches are made of?>

Eskay: Sandwiches? Er... It kinda depends on the sandwich, but they always have bread... Two slices of bread around whatever you want, pretty much...

Eskay: Wha– Where did you get the idea that they could have witches in them?

Spectrum: <Well, we figured that if sandwiches weren't made of sand, they must use witches instead!>
