-opens the door to reveal a geek's paradise. A TV, with several game consoles hooked up to it, as well as a DVD player. A computer sits next to the setup. A shelf lined with games and DVDs sits near the ceiling, filling two walls.-

Steven has a lot of free time.

-Drops part of the illusion, revealing a Milotic, a Lucario, an Empoleon, a pair of Camerupt, a Steelix, a Ferrothorn, and a Magnezone-

<"Marowak": "Clearly you need some more motivation.">

-To the Empoleon-

<"Marowak": "Give her a taste of what will happen if she doesn't come!">

<Empoleon: "Gladly.">

-Uses Hydro Pump on the three figures... Only for them to vanish-

<"Marowak": "WHAT?!">

-stares at the room-

... I love this room.

I really wish he wasn't a jerk, because this stuff makes him seem like a really cool guy.

I... I don't know what I'm going to do if I see her again. I mean, she stabbed me! How can I convince her now? Or do I even want to convince her after that? I have no idea what to do...

-Begins massaging my wound again-

-On Treeo's command, my Pokémon leap out of the illusion, the Sceptile himself flanking on the Milotic and slashing the Water type with Leaf Blade. Before it can retaliate, it receives a Dark Pulse to the face courtesy of Harriet hovering above, allowing Treeo to move away safely.-

Flare: <Nice going!>

Treeo: <Thanks!>

Harriet: <We work well together, don't we?>

-My other Pokémon attack in their own ways.-

He's not really a "jerk". He's just been cooped up in this tin can for too long. Plus, he's really good at what he does, and makes sure we don't forget it. -scans the shelves, noting the Star Wars DVDs Crewe inquired about, as well as the various seasons of sci-fi television shows, the complete series of Avatar The Last Airbender, and a couple Japanese series.-

Why does he stay here all the time? Doesn't he ever do the stuff you guys do?

Mostly we're looking for information about Cyrus, and trying to find people to join us.

Steven is one of the most powerful men in Hoenn, and certainly the most powerful not under the thumb of Artemis and Scolipede. He can't be seen out and about too much. Plus, we need someone here to be mission control.

Good point. I feel kind of sorry for him, though.

Well, we recently gained new allies from PEFE, and Bill is also one of us, but he remains stationed in Johto.

-Unite swoops down and rakes the Zoroark with Crush Claw.-

-Woolly is slightly worried about how angry her boyfriend is, but ignores it for the time being so that she can fire a Focus Blast at the Magnezone. The ball of Aura energy explodes on impact, dealing a huge amount of damage.

Flare, meanwhile, spars with the Lucario while Wulfric tosses and Aura Sphere at the Empoleon, while Cinder blasts the Ferrothorn and Steelix with a Fire Blast.-

Stratus: <YOU JERKS! TAKE THIS!>

-Stratus flies high, then whips up a Hurricane with his wings, managing to blow a few of the enemies away.-

-Tweedle looks up from her perch on the bunk when the door opens, and Dana scurries over-

Dana: <Trainer! Trainer's friend! Where are we? I don't know this place!>

We're at the base for the human Resistance. You'll be safe here, but you have to stay out of trouble, okay Dana?

Dana: <Okay Trainer!>

-I pick her up and set her on my shoulder, giving her an Oran Berry that she eats happily. Tweedle flutters over to sit on my other shoulder. Epona, looking relieved that someone else is watching Dana, nodsat Wolf and I before laying down in the corner by a snoring Katan. Ashes and Hermes resume wrestling in the middle of the room and Hecate looks up once from her seat in the corner before going back to staring at the ground-

Well, they seem to feel at home here, at least.

I'm glad you're all settled in.

-to Crewe- Make yourself at home, I guess. We've got all sorts of books and stuff in the console room, and if you're lucky, Steven might be in a good mood today and let you take one of the televisions from in there.

If you're really lucky (and/or stroke his ego) -wink- he might let you borrow stuff from his room.
