-Dune notices the chink in the hostile entity's facade. He smiles, his eyes wandering as if he couldn't care less about Belcitane.-

Dune: I suppose one can't blame the troops. After all, if my commander presented such a large amount of glare, I would hardly be able to concentrate on my own tasks, either.

Fourtree Jim

Salamence: <Well, this is...quaint.>

Ever: I did warn you.

-across the Jim from Ever, a large fan has been set up, and is causing several tipped windmills to slowly rotate-

-the wind has also pushed over a number of cutouts of Bird Tamers-

Ever: ...Hm. This will require some grace.

-Ever climbs onto the nearest windmill, then hops to the second, to the third, and then finally out on the other side-

Salamence: <Or you could have let me carry you like a normal person.>

Ever: Don't cramp my style.

-suddenly, the Jim Leeder appears. As in the Coomareen Jim, they are of indeterminate everything-

Ever: So, are you the same guy, or what...?

Indeterminate Person: So, here to battle me, huh? Well, take this!

-they fling something at Ever. He ducks-

Ever: ...Is that a stuffed Taillow?

Indeterminate Person: How'd you like our Wing Attack?

Ever: You just threw a taxidermized bird at me.

Salamence: <I'm going to have nightmares forever...>

Indeterminate Person: Well, you may have beaten Taillow, but let's see how you handle...Skarmory!

-and they hurls what appears to be a taped-together ball of knives at Ever-

Ever: Zekrom's tailfan, what's wrong with you?

Indeterminate Person: Nobody's ever gotten past my Skarmory so quickly!

Ever: Do you get many challengers?

Indeterminate Person: I do not!

Ever: Fancy that.

Indeterminate Person: Well, you've gotten me to my last Pokemon!

Ever: Or...Pokemon-related thing.

Indeterminate Person: Altaria, go!

-sends out an Altaria-

Salamence: <...>

-or rather, an Altaria skeleton-

-and "sends it out" is kind of a polite term for "chucks it on the ground between themself and Ever-

Ever: That's horrifying.

Indeterminate Person: Flamethrower, Altaria!

-they take out an aerosol container and a cigarette lighter-

Ever: ...Oh my.

-and he dives aside as a stream of flames sprays across the Gym. Salamence, meanwhile, takes off, and Dragon Pulses the Altaria skeleton into dust-

Indeterminate Person: Oh darn, it looks like you beat me. Well, you've earned this badge.

-they throw a paperclip jammed in an eraser at Ever, who sidesteps-

Indeterminate Person: Oh, and take this TM.

-throws a cracked CD with "Ariel Ase" scribbled on it in felt-tip marker at Ever, who ducks, and decides to leave-

Shade steps onto the pedestal, excited about this next battle. (It has been a long time since I last battled. I hope I'm not too rusty. I know the training has been worth the work put into it. Arceus, give me strength and wisdom.)

Ghostus: <You've said that so much it sounds like you're going to name him that.>

Gogie: "...This is slightly tempting, but no."

-He looks at the shapes being formed as the sun sets-

"Hm... Shadow..."

Ghostus: <...Feel free, but there are more original names than that.>

Gogie: "True..."

"...Well, there's also Lizard from Lizardon."

Ghostus: <Same problem.>

Gogie: "...Well, yeah, but..."

-He then notices that the Charmander's tail has brushed against his body-

-He gives a slight exclamation of surprise, holds the Charmander further away-

Gogie: "...Okay, holding Charmander seems more
dangerous than I thought it would be."

Ghostus: <You could stand to be more observant.>

Gogie: "Well, it's not like I've got much practice with-"

"...Wait, I don't think 'Hazard' is a bad name."

-Ghostus shrugs-

Gogie: "Well, it's the best one I've got so far."

"So I think I'll go with it."

Hope walking isn't going to
be a problem for him, though.

Shade eyes the Pelipper with trepidation.

(Crap, there goes my main strategy... I have no other choice in this matter.)

"Go Jiraiya, and start out with Ice Beam!"

Jiraiya pops out of his pokeball, with a slight poof. Before the Pelipper can see what is happening, Jiraiya's Expert Belt turns white with frost, and he uses Ice Beam.

<I dare you to hit me with your best shot!>

(Hopefully, Winona won't catch on to my Greninja's hidden ability.)

Shade considers his options carefully.

"Jiraiya, dodge, and retaliate with another Ice Beam!"

Jiriaya does the moonwalk out of the way of the Air Cutter by Pelipper, and has enough time to fire another Ice Beam.

-Deziree is wandering around, sketching out some odd clothing designs.-

Deziree: I can see the result in my head... but there is literally no material that can actually hold up to the punishment the armor's supposed to go through.

-She details in some of the clothing.◊-

Deziree: Gah, not even a Steel Delta Leavanny would be able to weave this... C'mon, I'm missing something! I know I am!

Mt.Pyre - Past

"<Ah, you silly thing. Getting in trouble for something useless.>" said the Duskull, shaking his head in amusement

He then notices the trio making their way inside alongside their Pokémon

"<Those must be your chasers.>"

Fortree Gym

Shade peers on in concentration, knowing that Jiraiya is a sitting duck unless he says something. However Shade took too long and Jiraiya is struck with the pulse of water in the face. Jiraiya takes some damage and uses the Water Pulse's momentum to flip himself back to his feet.

"Jiraiya use Surf!"

Jiraiya does some ninja hand movements before rainclouds appear. As soon as the clouds collect, a downpour ensues. Jiraiya then collects the water in to a massive tidal wave, and sends it torwards the Pelipper.

<Surfs up!>

As soon as the wave is formed, Jiriaya can be seen riding a Mat Block on the wave.

The Duskull then floats off and at the same time Duke notices the Sableye's presence

Unbeknownst to Pelipper and Winona, the Greninja that is sitting is mysteriously missing its Expert Belt.

As the Duskull went to the next floor, he looked around a bit

"<Boys, girls, we have some visitors.>" he calmly said as he kept going upstairs

And with that some Shuppet, Banette and even other Duskull started showing up in the next floor.

In the first floor though:

"Well, we're in a cemetery in the middle of the night. There's no way this can go wrong." said Lyuri

"I think I saw the Mega Stone with it, seems like the Sableye has a friend too." said Duke.

Fortree Gym

Shade smiles as the Pelipper falls into the trap.

"Jiraiya, Ice Beam."

Jiraiya pops out of nowhere, and casually walks up to the Pelipper after the Seed Bomb is done. He leans over and whispers into Pelipper's ear.

<Hammer Time>

Before the Pelipper can turn and acknowledge the new threat, Jiraiya forms a cup with his hands and launches a Ice Beam in the Pelipper's face before backflipping back to his original starting point.

-Belcitane's pupils get even smaller as he's insulted. Quickly regaining his composure, Belcitane tries to regain control of the situation.-

Belcitane: Anyways, I'm glad you're here. I need some help persuading this infuriatingly uncooperative manager to join our side.

Manager: Never... g-going... t-to happen...

Belcitane: Oh I think it will. For you see, if you don't, it'll be your friends here who'll suffer first.

-Belcitane makes a grand, sweeping gesture at the group; his tone gaining a darker, but gleeful tone as he talks-

Manager: -flinches at the threat- ...guh

-Ren, Sorceress, an Prima Donna grip their weapons-

Belcitane: -wagging his finger as he adopts a light, yet sinister tone full of clashing cheerfulness- Ah-ah. If you trying anything, I promise it won't be his will that I break. I'll snap his clean-shaven neck instead.

-Belcitane grips Manager's neck to illustrate his point.-

-Ren, Sorceress, an Prima Donna tense and hold their positions but continue to glare at the Obviously Evil man in front of them.-
