Jacob: Okay well we're getting in, one way or another. Sneaking is ideal but if not oh well.

-Pent nods and glances at the area-

Too open. Way, way too open... Looks like it'll be a fight no matter what unless someone's got more invisibility.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

-Prima Donna grimaces at Dune's first guess.-

Prima Donna: It's WORSE than one entrance.

Sorceress: Indeed. There is no place to hide.

-Sorceress uses he magic to project a small illusion of the ruins.-

-The ruins are comprised of one set of stairs leading to a large four-sided platform that has crumbling less-than-waist-high walls, the ark -which looks like a black, orange, and red handled sword in a matching, wicked-looking sheath with a wing motif - set in a stone pedestal and one large stone monolith. One can climb the sands to reach the walls too.-

Sorceress: Indeed, Mr. Fiveside. But we have a Pactmaker in our midst. If the Owner invokes his pact, everyone but Belcitane could be defeated easily with time, but they have Manager as a hostage. I fear Belcitane would destroy him rather than let him be rescued.

Jacob: A stalemate... if we can push them them out of the location, we win. Of course if they kill Manager, and let's be honest, when they kill Manager when we try to do so, we lose. Neither of us can move without losing. So we're stuck doing nothing.

Dune: ... Unless we don't let them know that. We need to think that they have the upper hand. Two forces in stalemate will both lose due to attrition - but if we let the enemy think that there is an imbalance, in either direction, we can force them to move. But how?

Ren: Without any real intelligence, it might be best just to casually walk in and bluff in vague, broad terms until they slip.

Dune: Oh hell, why didn't you say so? Deziree and I have made a game out of doing that!

Jacob: Works for me, let's go!

Ren: -blinks at Dune- I'm almost afraid to ask how you figure out who wins...

Sorceress: Very well. Owner take point. The fact we aren't leading in with the one with a shield might help us seem like we don't need to take extra precautions.

-to Dune- But be ready to use Full Shield just in case.

-Ren leads the group to the stairs of the ruins.-

-Dune gets up and follows, taking cocky, lazy strides that would nonetheless let him duck into a defensive position at any time.-

So then, what's next?

Ren: Now, Jacob, if the opportunity presents itself, go for the Ark while Prima Donna and/ or Sorceress head for Manager. The rest of us will make sure no one get to your body while your forming your Pact.

Dune: And don't you keep us waiting. I don't want to trip over you while we're fighting. And before you ask, yes, it happens. With frightening regularity, sometimes.

Jacob: -Shrugs- Can do. I hope. Shouldn't be too hard...

-Looks at Dune- ... When has this happened?!?

Dune: Rill's a heavy sleeper.

Jacob: Oh okay I thought you meant you'd tripped over me while fighting before while I slept. I was extremely concerned.

-Ren leads the Group up the stairs.-

-Several guards prepare them selves for an attack as Ren speaks up.-

Ren: -indicating Belcitane- You know, now that I'm seeing him in person, I gotta say, I'm digging the haircut.-

-Belcitane lowers his hand from Manager's face. Manager seems to have been the subject of a severe beating while being captive. His longsword is prop[ed against the opposite wall.-

Belcitane: -eye twitches at Ren's insult but starts using a Mocking, sarcastic tone- Oh my. You managed to get here unharmed afterall. My goodness I'm impressed.

-Manager looks weakly at the group-

Manager: Owner... Jacob... Mr. Morton... Mr. Fiveside... Mr. Maxwell... Prima... Sorceress...

Belcitane: -cutting off Manager- And it even seems that some of you are on a first name basis too! It's touching really. -more serious- And I see that they couldn't even be bothered to stall you properly. -mocking again- Whoopsie!

"You really, really need it? It is an heirloom of the House of Flavio, after all."

Maggie: "Yeah."

-He hands Maggie the red gem, which she takes and places into the skull rock-

-As she does, the gem and the eyes of the Probopass statues begin to glow-

Flavio: "Oh my poor Red Skull Gem!"

Pa-Patch: <Quit yer bellyachin', this is 'ow we get further, right?>

-He begins to glow and releases an Explosion, fainting in the process-

-The rock wall is broken open, revealing the entrance to a cave-

Flavio: <Aah, my Skull Gem!>

-The Gem flies out from the Explosion and lands somewhat near Flavio-

Flavio: "Oh, there it is."

-He picks it up and stores it away-

"Now, if that's it, I think I'll be heading back to Base Camp. This has been too much excitement for one day."

"I'm counting on you all."

-He flies off-

-Gogie is hanging around with Ghostus, holding the egg when it begins to shake-

Gogie: "...I think the egg's hatching."

Ghostus: <Wondering when it would.>

-After some more shaking, out pops a newborn Charmander, who makes some miscellaneous grunts-

Ghostus: <Hope that kid's not going to be anything like Finn.>

Gogie: "Hey, he'll be fine."

"Hm... I should probably think up a name..."

Ghostus: <Come up with a better one than Crow would, please.>

Gogie: "Hrm..."

"...I got nothing."

Ghostus: <...Well, you could just go the unimaginative route and call him by his species.>

Gogie: "...Eh, that feels kind of weird."

"You have any suggestions?"

Ghostus: <I just gave mine.>
