-AU!Duke nods and starts searching around, AU!Lyuri certainly didn't look like she want to talk with anybody right now, but Rapier was quick to notice Slashy's interest on him-

-The curtain falls on a showing of the pokemon actor version of "Bon Voyage". The male secondary lead, a Snivy, wanders offstage and grabs a towel. His trainer approaches-

Lord Evelyn: Another grand performance, I had no doubts about your ability to settle into the role I made famous.

The Snivy: -Smile- <Thank you.>

Evelyn: Now then, how about something to eat before the next showing?

The Snivy: -Nods- <That would be nice.>

Evelyn: -Takes a seat, passes a plastic airtight box with the name "Oakley" scrawled on the side in marker-

The Snivy/Oakley: -Opens the box and begins happily munching on the celery and dip inside- <Yum...>

Evelyn: -Smile. Pours out some water into a glass for himself and a shallow dish for the Snivy- To another great performance! -Drinks-

Oakley: <To another great performance!> -Laps from the dish-

-Things are normal as usual in the Hunter household, the last few months being particularly peaceful without some kind of alien invasion or other disaster of epic proportions.-

Jemma: *curled up asleep on the couch, her tail wagging lazily* <Zzz…>

-Jemma in particular has been usually well behaved despite the loss of her death ray, though no one knows how long that will last. As for the more normal members of the household…-

Minty: *sitting with his feelers folded and looking lost in thought* <Hmmm…>

Aqua: *peeks out from under the couch* <Hey, Minty!> *climbs from under the couch and sits next to him* <What’s wrong?>

Minty: <Oh, hi Aqua. I was just thinking about my parents.>

Aqua: <Oh, yeah… You haven’t seen them in a while, right?>

Minty: <Not since we left the Orange Islands. They haven’t seen me since I was a Swadloon.>

Aqua: <Hmmm…> *flicks her tail as she thinks something over* <Well, how about this? I could ask Ryklys to loan us a Teleporting Starmie to let you visit them whenever you want.>

Minty: *looking hopeful* <R-really? You can do that?>

Blossom: *wandering over from the other side of the couch* <Members of Team what?>

-The owner of the household, Faith, was currently resting after a bit of jogging and exercise she’d done earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, her sleep is disturbed by the sudden ringing of her Pokégear.-

Faith: *groans tiredly, reaching for the Pokégear* Hunter residence. Faith speaking.

???: And you tease me for being too formal in my greetings.

Faith: …Oh, Grace. *chuckles* I must not have recognized your number.

Grace: You sound a bit tired. I’m not disturbing you, am I?

Faith: No, no… *stifles a yawn* I always have time for my older sister.

Grace: Well, it’s nothing much. I just wanted to call in and see how you and Rex were doing. I haven’t heard from either of you in quite a while.

Faith: Ah, I’m sorry about that. Rex and I have been dealing with quite some unusual things lately.

Grace: Well, the teenage years are the most unusual.

Faith: *smiling* So, I’ve noticed. Speaking of which, how is Amanda doing?

Grace: Mandy? Oh, she’s doing fine! She’s actually gotten quite independent lately, traveling around the region on her own. Just the other day she went to Twist Mountain to look for fossils. Hard to believe it’s the same girl who’d barely wanted to go buy Casteliacones on her own just a few months ago. *laughs*

Faith: That’s good to hear. I should come over and see you all sometime. I’d love to see how she and Joshua have grown.

Grace: On the topic of growing children, tell me a little about Rex. What’s my nephew been up to lately?

Rex: *sitting in his chair* I decided to take on a part-time lab assistant job with Prof. Elm.

Kim: *sitting on his bed with Lian* And all because of that Tropius that's been following you around lately?

Rex: Well, she did have something to do with it. But I was kind of leaning towards that choice anyway.

Kim: I see. *leans back onto the bed, looking up at the ceiling* I guess we're both going through a bit of career change, then.

Rex: *blinks* You too? What do you mean?

Kim: *looks over at him* Didn't you notice? I don't have my styler anymore.

Rex: ...You resigned from being a Ranger?

Kim: I resigned from being a Top Ranger.

Rex: But...why?

Kim: Well, part of the reason is that my family is moving to Sinnoh.

-At the mention of Sinnoh, Lian frowns, thinking back on a certain Weavile.-

Rex: Sinnoh? Even after that whole Ghost Army thing?

Kim: Evil happenings aren't exactly rare these days, Rex. Didn't you ever read the news article about that pirate ship that shot icicles at Unova?

Rex: Well, yeah, but...

Kim: And the other reason is because- *sighs* Well, I'm just not fit for the job. Top Rangers are supposed to be resourceful individuals, but being one just made me overly reliant on my styler. What good am I if all I am is an extension of my tools?

-Seeing that Rex has no answer, Kim continues.-

Kim: It's better if I just start over as a normal Ranger in Sinnoh. I still need to figure out how to be a better partner for my team. *a blue glow comes to her eyes* And I also need to figure out how to better utilize my abilities. *the glow quickly fades, causing her to let out a small gasp* Even that little energy tires me out.

Rex: I guess you've got a lot to worry about then, huh? *stands from his chair, walking over to the bed and reaching out his hand* Well, first things first: What can I help you with?

Kim: *smiles and takes his hand* Could you recommend me some Poké Balls for my team? I've been kind of paranoid about someone grabbing my partners after the whole Team Aqua incident.

Rex: *grins* I'd be glad to.

-Rawst hears Sakura's knock, and hastily shoves the half wrapped gift under his jacket-

Rawst:-opens the door- Hey Sakura, Lyuri, Hikari.

Eskay: (To Trip) I'm not entirely sure what it means, except that we apparently have a link to Ho-oh. ~And we can use some sort of persuasive power, but you definitely don't need to know that.~

Hikari: Actually... Are you up to a battle? I see that both Lyuri and Sakura have been doing their own battles these past few days, this made me actually pretty up for a battle now.

Fortis: I got to go up to the top of this tall tower and saw a statue of a pretty birdie there but then this mean old man said I was a thief but that's not true and then mister Eskay rescued me and then we went to this cave with a big waterfall and we met a really big birdie who gave us feathers but he said it was only for people with silvery souls or something but Forte got one and I didn't! That's not very fair, is it, miss cotton bird?
