Horace, still focusing on healing Every. "Don't worry, my trainer has her mons scouring the streets for that girl. If she's anywhere in Olivine, she won't be getting away."

Psyche sighs. "Well, I told Mezzo I'd try and find them, and I kinda want to make sure that Every's ok too. He almost got eaten by a Gyarados apparently. But, as soon as I can, I'll be over, i promise."

The Tin and Brass Towers (That's the one that burnt down) were originally created 700 years ago to foster friendship and hope between people and Pokemon. The former was where Pokemon were said to awaken, the latter was where they were said to rest. Ho-oh as you know roosted on the Tin Tower, while Lugia was said to perch on the Brass Tower.

Yeah, the priest that kicked it out said the place was for Ho-oh. Kind of ironic how the tower that burned down was the associated with the not Fire type Legendary.

I've heard a couple stories about why it burnt down 150 years ago. Power Incontinence on Lugia's part, freak accident, greedy people attempting to take Ho-oh's power for themselves...It's kind of a mess. Personally I suspect it's some combination of the three, but eh.

I wouldn't say they were any more greedy than we are. There was just more stuff to ruin and steal and stuff because it wasn't ruined back then.

The Bellchime Trail is like this all year-round, locked in an eternal autumn due to Ecruteak's Aura. Sadly the contrast is better seen in the spring and summer.

-Duke was with Alden, who was meditating and floating as he did so, Hayato, who was chilling on a tree and Sting, who was just hanging around doing nothing. Duke was looking bothered by something.-

Sting: <Um... Is there something on your mind?>

Duke: <Well, yes. I was thinking of the disaster that was that gym battle yesterday, it was supposed to be an easy battle, but I was too weak to resist to that Attract.>

Sting: <Hm... I don't think there's a way to resist Attract unless you're genderless or of the same gender of the user. Uh... Just saying.>

Hayato: <And if you're bi, you're screwed.>

-This just made Duke and Sting give a quick glance to Hayato before resuming the conversation.-

Duke: <Is there really no way to counter it?>

Alden: -still meditating- Attract is a kind of artificial love, love itself is a very complex feeling that nobody knows exactly how it works, and that's what makes Attract such a dangerous move in a battle, if you want to understand the difference between Attract and "true love", you probably would need to fall in love yourself, I guess it's the only way to at least be able to resist the move, you managed to resist it enough to be able to fight, so you're doing better than you think.

Hayato: <Yeah! So, why don't you try your luck with some human girls? Pick that armband thing that Riku has and go get some chicks for you!> -smirks- <Or you could try your luck with Lyuri>

-Almost immediatelly Hayato was hit with an Aura Sphere and fell from the tree branch straight into a bush-

Sting: <I don't know why, but I expected a dog to appear now. I suppose that's a "no"?>

Duke: <Of course I won't do that!>

Alden: You considered it for a second, I can read your mind as you know.

Sting: <Well... Um... How about... chocolate?... I-I've heard it can produce the same feeling as love. M-Maybe if you eat a ton of chocolate...>

Alden: This is proving to be a complete waste of our time. You probably shouldn't be too concerned about that, you're doing well enough to be concerned about small things like this.

Duke: <I guess. I should probably go look for Riku and resume his reading classes.>

Natural? Decidious trees like these maples would be at a major disadvantage if this was perfectly normal. Anyway, due to Ecruteak having been home to so many legendaries over the centuries, weird stuff happens here. Kids born with different hair colors, increased longevity, that sort of thing.
