Trixie leaps into the air and turns a flip while firing a Hydro Pump, spraying water every where. A few kids playing by the beach giggle and run around in it, but Ion looks considerably less excited and backs away from the water, arms crossed over his face.

"Ion!"

<Right, right! Earthquake!>

The Nidoking starts stomping hard on the ground, setting it shaking again. However, as Trixie isn't actually on the ground, it does no damage.

<Ah! It didn't work!>

<Oh course it didn't work, moron! She's in the air!> James throws his hands up in the air.

<Don't yell at me, James!>

<The lug is right, smokey,> Trixie says, landing on Ion's shoulder and giggling. <Don't yell things that aren't true. Hunter?>

<Ah! She's on top of me!>

"Aqua Tail, Trix!"

<Boy, you are slow, aren't you?>

Trixie slams her hands on either side of Ion's head, holding tightly, and leaps up, coming down around the front and smacking a tail covered in water into his stomach. Letting go and neatly flipping away, she turns to face him, arms crossed.

<Oof!> Ion drops to one knee, wincing.

<Oh, get up, you big baby. That wasn't that strong a hit.>

<You're right, darling,> Lockspur says. <That wasn't a strong hit.>

Throwing her arms apart, Trixie whirls around to face him.

<Lockspur, you better shut up before I come over and introduce you to my—>

"Outrage!"

"Trixie!"

Ion lets out a roar and dark purple flames engulf him as he charges the Golduck, slamming into her and throwing her into the air. She lands hard and props herself up on one hand, shaking her head.

<Whaa—>

Ion hits her again, sending her skidding through the sand. Rolling to one side, she sends a Water Pulse his way. The Nidoking charges straight through it, slamming into her once more.

Trixie is sent flying once more and lands at Hunter's feet and tries to get up again.

"Trix, Hyd—"

Before Hunter can finish his command, she collapses, unconscious. Hunter sighs and recalls her.

<Tsk tsk. Poor dear just couldn't keep her head in the game.> Lockspur crosses his flowers and shakes his head.

"Lockie. You're up." Hunter turns to the Roserade and points at the battle field.

<Ooh, how exciting! Let's make some magic.> Lockspur does a twirl, then strides forward

<Hey, Lockspur! Keep your head in the game!> Marvin calls tauntingly.

<Marvin, dear, I'd like to ask you to shut the hell up before I Leaf Storm your head off,> Lockspur replies politely, not looking at the Bibarel.

<Shh, Marvin,> Cesar tells him softly. <Much as I appreciate him being put in his place, a confrontation wouldn't end well for you. Also he's supposed to be focused on the battle.>
