Vyvyan and Sierra hear the rumbling of the Caldera.

Vyvyan: <...>

Sierra: <Is that...?

Vyvyan quickly flicks a ball from Sierra's belt onto the ground, releasing Bridget.

Bridget: <Yo' Vyvyan ma->

Vyvyan: <QUICK! THIS PLACE IS CLOSE TO BLOWING IT'S TOP OFF! TELEPORT SIERRA, HER POKEMON AND YOURSELF AWAY FROM HERE STAT!>

Bridget: <You mean... leave you?>

Vyvyan: <YES!>

Sierra: <But Vyv! I want to be here with you!>

Vyvyan puts his hands and Sierra's shoulders

Vyvyan: <But I don't wan't you to help! I want you safe! There is not much you can do to stop the Caldera from erupting... I at least might have some power over it...>

Vyvyan turns to Bridget

Vyvyan: <Take her anyway! Rustboro, Fallabor! I DON'T CARE! I JUST WANT ALL THOSE I CARE ABOUT SOMEWHERE SAFE!>

Bridget and Sierra exchange glances before nodding.

Bridget: <Okay man. Whatever you say...>

Sierra: Besides... -Glances ate the Jade Orb- I can keep in contact with you via the orb!

Vyvyan nods.

Vyvyan: <Okay! Good Now go!>

Bridget goes over to Sierra.

Bridget: <See yah Vyv...>

-blip!-

As Bridget teleports Sierra away from the Mt Pyre. Vyvyan turns to face the Caldera that is about to erupt and knows what has to be done.

"...Evacuating? Are things that bad that they can reach he- oh wait..." Seems to remember something, talks for a moment with the SWAT leader, who sweatdrops. "Hey, Tagg... if Mt. Pyre is erupting, what should be the direction of the lava outflow?"

Burnt, tired and in the darkness, Ichtacya stares at Anja for a moment and shakes her head. She evaluates the possibility of a Solarbeam or an X-Scissor, since there is not much else she can do in her condition without sunlight.

Her mind made up, she smirks and walks towards Anja.

Ichtacya: <Perhaps I'm not gonna teach you your lesson... but somemon will... and I'll try and make it easy for them!>

Starts leaping around, closing distance for an X-Scissor.

About the time Ichtacya hit Anja (and Rufus) with an X-Scissor, Anja fires her Flamethrower at Ichtacya... Before flopping back onto the sand.

Ichtacya screams in agony from taking a Flamethrower to the face. With some serious injuries already she falls to the sand and starts squirming.

Ichtacya: <Y-You... Rrrr... we'll make you pay!>

Barely managing to right herself up, unable to see, she trembles, starts dragging herself to the sea guiding herself by the waves.

Xatu, get us off this rock.

Xatu: -Teleports us all to a rock in the ocean close enough to see the volcano as it erupts-

Xatu, what are you doing?

Xatu: <Tagg, you know what needs to be done.>

Forecaster: -Frightened- <You mean?>

Muddy: <Exactly. Tagg?>

Guess we'll have to do it.

From what I can tell the lava's heading to the part of the mountain with the graves, but that's the least of our worries since TOTAL DEVASTATION and all. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a region to try to save.

-Pulls out the Blue Orb while Looker and Charon are distracted by the volcano-

If this doesn't work, there's nowhere we can run.

Carol: "... I guess there's one good thing about mom and dad spending so much time out of Hoenn... ... I just can't believe that it would wind up happening this way..."

-And begins to recall her mons-

Ichtacya washes her face, but still can't open her eyes. She sniffs around looking for Anja.

Ichtacya: <...H-hey! You b*****!!! Wh-where did you go...> — falters.

Then she starts sniffing something different. Something    ashy   .

Ichtacya: <W-What...? Could they...?>

Mauville City

Some police officers starts moving people from the city towards two locations. One of them is the road to Verdanturf, conditioned for easy landing and pickup by flying Pokémon or vehicles. The other is the Cycling Road, for people who can to make a quick escape to Slateport.

Mauville Underground

SWAT Team Leader: "...Come on people MOVE! We are needed in the city as of yesterday!"

The SWAT team has finished apprehending the mysterious operatives, who were apparently not working for Charon, and have started packing their stuff and moving outside. Only the leader, Casval, Artesia and Silent remain behind.

SWAT Leader -to Casval: "You people have to leave too, there is nothing to be done here. And perhaps the entire city is going to disappear as well."

Silent removes his Pokébelt while Maekrite watches.

"You can go outside. But something needs to be done with these systems. If we leave the situation like this, the power plant could explode right as the population is being evacuated." Silent turns to Casval. "Can I ask you a favor?"

Mossdeep City

-Mezzo decides to call Forte-

Streets of Sootopolis

-Forte picks up his Xtransceiver-

Forte: Oh, what now?

Are you seeing this? Mt. Pyre just erupted!

Pianis: Seriously?

Yeah. They're saying we need to evacuate the area. How are you two gonna get out of there?

Pianis: ...No idea.

Well, you'd better think of something soon...

Forte: Yeah, we will. -hangs up-

Yukikaze: <...Well. Of all the things to die from, it has to be lava...>

Forte: Hey! We're not gonna die!

Anja: <Mt Pyre is about to erupt... But do not fear, for Hoenn is not doomed...>

Casval: "Sure." (Turns to Artesia, Wally's Narrator, and Artesia's Narrator) "You three should leave as soon as possible."

Artesia: "Don't you go deciding things for me. I'm staying."

Narrator: I'm going to have to stick with her whether I like it or not.

Until we find my character, I believe it would be best for me to remain as well.

Casval: "Well, you can't say I didn't try..."

-Focuses on the Blue Orb-

Come on, if there was any a time I needed you, it would be now.

-The area starts getting really hot as the iPhokex starts playing this-

Veronica: Alastor, we have to leave!

Alastor: <No, we have to protect the graves!>

Veronica: -Sighs- I guess there's no way for me to convince you otherwise, huh? Not to mention that there's nowhere for us to run if this thing blows.

-Is filled with a sense of resolve-
