Unnamed Female Trainer: Hmm... No Skarmory here. Just a bunch of Spinda... (brushing some ashes out of her pigtails) Maybe we should check another patch of the grass around here.

Thunderbolt: <Okay. Coming, Octavia?>

Octavia: <Just one moment!> (puffs herself up and rolls over ten Spinda, knocking them over like bowling pins)

Thunderbolt: <... Show-off.>

Inn

Aqua: *opens her eyes a little and licks Katie's face*

Anya: *is sleeping off to the side, having set them both on a bed*

Minty: *sleeping on her shoulder*

Lavaridge Town

Rex: *is hanging out with Rascal, Ohm, and also Kim*

Flashback

Rex: *is helping Mezzo along, with help from Casval*

Anya: *follows, holding Katie and Aqua*

Kim: *happens across them* Oh, there you are! *notices Mezzo* Oh no... What happened?

Rex: *surprised to see her, but remains focused* It's kind of a long story; right now, she just needs to lie down.

Kim: *nods* Maria, can you locate the closest inn and teleport us there?

Rex: I wonder where Every has gone off to.

Maria: <Eeee~>

Katie: -grins- Yay! -pulls out her Pokedex- Can you help me decide what Pokemon I should try catching next?

An incredibly agile shadow moves amongst the buildings, making a high jump into the air. The figure divebombs Salamence into a cuddle.

Salamence: "Hi there, me!"

It's okay...I wonder why she wanted to know if I liked Rex.

Rex: She probably reads too much fanfiction. >_>

Kim: You might say that. Anyway, I don't think either of you have met Youko yet.
