Maekrite slowly turns to Silent, eyes open wide.

Maekrite — <I-I-I'm O-O-OK! Really! Wow!>

"...That attack did something with your hormones. Be careful, please..."

Maekrite — <S'OK! I feel great! The world is just awesome!!!> — turns to Venusaur — <I'm no longer angry at you!> — smiles a :3.

Silent facepalms, then returns his attention to the battle.

"Maekrite, you are still listening to me, right?"

Maekrite -turns to Silent — <Oh hai! \\ô ô ô/> — waves paws.

Silent sighs, points at the Pokémon for a moment with the Moon Ball, but after seeing him so happy and energetic, decides to let him continue.

"Right... look, go for that Venusaur, Hone Claws again and go for a Shadow Claw. That should do it."

Maekrite nods, then starts running and turning around trying to chase his own tail for a moment. Only after a while he seems to (finally!) notice Venusaur again.

Maekrite — <Wooo hooooo~!> — goes for a Hone Claws.

Read: <Huh? Oh. Look, I'm sorry, I'm still fighting off an illness...> *Uses Rest*

Maekrite lands the attack and then randomly walks around the arena, enjoying the scent.

Maekrite — <Hey, this thing is awesome... *sniff* dude... it's like, 20% cooler than duhreth✦

"...Maekrite! Come on, pay more attention to the battle!"

Maekrite — <...? Oh yes! Battle battle! Come on, this will be fun!> — stands still there for a moment. Then he jumps and swirld a 360º in mid-air — <Fun!>

Silent shakes his head, then commands Maekrite to Ice Beam the Venusaur again.

Maekrite -starts collecting Ice energy — <...Woooooooow...> — looks at the world around him. — <Lil'stars for Dintel must feel like this... I had never stopped to think....>

They pissed me off with their dumbassery and weren't even worth the time it would've taken me to just beat them in a Pokemon battle.

-Puts my hands behind my back-

I have to admit that I certainly didn't expect a Teleporting Cloyster, that TM's been discontinued for years. How long have you been at this? I've also noted that your battling style's pretty similar to mine.

Helios: <Of course we can stay here together Algira, and I think Tagg was thinking about letting me stay with you guys for the duration of the Hoenn trip.>

Maekrite is collecting the energy for the Ice Beam, and watches in the meantime how Venusaur is preparing to launch the Leech Seeds, very slowly for some reason.

Maekrite — <Wow... he's really taking some time to analyze how to attack, or something... there, he is opening the flower bulb to launch the seeds... perhaps if I can lunge and raise my neck a little I can reach... let's see...> — moves his paws, stretches neck — <there... with about 1.2275 kit claws of distance should suffice... then, let's see, opening my muzzle just a bit more, since it seems I have just enough energy to fire now...> — blinks — <Mon, why is he taking so long? Was I really in a pinch I would have spammed that thing with the limit break already... hmmm... but I have to say it is a beautiful flower... well, perhaps not as beautiful as a Bellossom's, but, still, the humans say the beauty lies in the eye of the beholder...>

Maekrite finishes charging energy pretty much the same instant.

Maekrite — <I wonder what exactly that means... perhaps I can figure out when we are back at the colony, with all the beautiful things there, and- oh, wait, it seems I have the right angle for the attack... first, I'd need to gather power in my hindlegs, but if I jump too high I'd be left open for a Vine Whip or something nastier... anyway, I better move now...> — jumps carefully, and opens his muzzle, firing an Ice Beam just as the Leech Seeds are being fired at him. — <Oh look, damn, it seems I miscalculated something. I wonder if I'll return to the ground in time to avoid them... if the shadows are right, I'd have to roll to the right. Yeah, I'll roll to the right, always to the right. it would help me land a good contact hit, if I can disable those vines somehow. Oh, perhaps I could fire more Thunderbolts but I don't feel like it... awww, well, at least the Ice Beam looks like it is aimed the right way, if I'm not mistaken it's gonna freeze the bulb.>

Maekrite exhales, the Black Sludge comes into effect rejuvenating the Nidorino... all in pretty much the same instant.

Maekrite — <Oh wow, that felt so good, it's like when my girlfriend nuzzles me... I miss her... why am I thinking that anyway? I'm facing an opponent, well, it seems I'm returning to the ground now. I better relax my muscles, see if I can roll and avoid that attack, because it would be a pain in the arse and would negate the effect of the Sludge. Hmmm... I wonder if Silent will have enough sense to let me use a finishing hit, because I don't want to lose more energy that I'm gonna need for that Dragonite... Wow... why are Dragonite so derpy anyway? I mean, Dragonair are so slender and cool...>

Drake: Well, this is interesting... it seems that I've misjudged that Nidorino. I've never seen such a skilled Pokemon that wasn't fully evolved. *grins, squeezing Dragonite's Pokeball gently* This will be interesting.

Dragonite: *howls*

Drake: Hmmm...I guess I'll keep Electabuzz in the wings then. Come on out, Dragonite! *detaches the ball from his clasp and tosses it*

Dragonite: *roars, hovering over Maekrite ominously* <   It will rain BLOOD today.   >

Ryklys: It's lonely at the top, indeed. I admit, a proper match with you is one of the few things I've been able to look forward to lately. And we are watching one of the others.

I've been training for, oh, fourteen, fifteen years now. Grace was actually my starter, I fished her out of the Vermilion harbor.

Filter-feeders such as her are incredibly important to aquatic ecosystems, you know. Back in the early days of Slateport City, one of the draws was its clear, clean water. Fish thrived.

Now, with runoff from farms and industry, and destruction of Clamperl habitat for construction and misguided aesthetics, the water around the coast is far murkier, and the fish are taking a toll for it. It used to be that you could see the seafloor from the surface even out at the mouth of Route 134...

Anyways, hence my pet project here. The pylons provide new habitat for Clamperl, who will in turn be able to take on their filtering role again.

-Ryklys pulls out a Teachy TV-

I can...relate. It's part of the reason I joined the PEFE, far better than ending up out on the top of some peak out in the middle of nowhere like most trainers of my skill level.

-Looks at the mini marine bio lesson-

So an artificial reef eh? I've helped with a few of those back home.

Pummelo Island

Silent raises an eyebrow, and feels completely taken by surprise.

"Damn... so this is the Dragonite. Wonder if it is one of Lance's... Ugh... Maekrite is still under the effect of that Worry Seed and he will be serving as an unwilling and permanent energy tank to the dragon unless I do something about it. But Maekrite seems more atent and perceptive now, perhaps I can use that to my advantage..." To Maekrite: "Kit, you OK?"

Maekrite turns back and raises a paw as a victory sign.

Maekrite — <Wow... why do Nidorino have three claws anyway?> — sits to observe his own paw, worrying Silent — <it's good for scratching and running but not much else... heck, I can't grab Nido!Silent in any way that is not by the neck...> — waves claws, trying to move them carefully — <And we can't grab stuff with them... back when I was a kit I could grab berries and stuff... I'd love to be able to do that with my paws... heck, that saved my life back then at the Torchic farm...>

Silent facepalms and then claps, trying to regain Maekrite's attention. Maekrite sits on the ground, growls and nods.

"Maekrite, come on damn it. Now, let's try and get that thing poisoned, fast. Hone Claws into a Poison Jab!"

Maekrite growls (friendly!) then darts at the Dragonite. At a short distance he Hones Claws and lunges at the Pokémon's belly.

Maekrite — <Wow... that thing is tall... wonder if I can cling to it if I need to...>

Goldenrod Research Wing - Lounge

Inka — <A.... A... A Dragonite...>

The kits look at each other as Inka's semblance changes from excitement to sheer RÆG.

Baluarkos — <Hush, kittens! Come here, quick!> — starts collecting the youngest kits behind him.

Inka stands up and glares at the TV. She bares her teeth and rubs her belly and neck, her memory reliving horrendous scars.

Inka — <   A DRAGONITE!!!! AAAAAARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!   > — swipes the couch, splitting it in two at once.

Kittens — <Eeeeeep!>

Inka stares at the TV with a permanent growl.

Algira is trying to snuggle with Helios, squeezing as much as she can from the four turns random time she will have to be asleep and out of battle.

Algira — <So you are going to wander around with us? Really? Hmmm...> — buzzes nervously — <I'll have to nag Trainer so that he buys food adequate for you, or we can hunt it ourselves~>

-Is wandering around Dewford, waiting for a good time to head to Slateport for J-Con-

~Meanwhile!~

-Some teen is sitting on a chair in a hospital room, his mother is sitting nearby holding the hand of the teen's grandma who is on the hospital bed and speaking softly. The teen is rather sad, but is hiding it well-

Teen: I'm... I'm gonna go sit by the elevators... -Leaves the room- ~Sniffle~ -Phone rings- Oh... -Looks at the text message- "Where were you today? - Grunty the Aqua Grunt Foreman" ~Sigh~ -Begins typing a reply- "Family matters, -The teen checked his pocket, yep, the bandana was still there- I'll be there soon - Steve" -He quickly popped back into the room to notify that he was leaving and then headed back to the elevators-

Ryklys: Really, you should consider joining Team Aqua. You'd easily do a better job than a certain Admin I'd rather not name... Wanting to build a river running past Lavaridge of all places, the numbskull.

I was here the last time you two nearly messed things up for everyone (And when you guys in particular actually did.), I'd rather not not join either of you. You can't just favor one group of Pokemon over another, both are important to a healthy environment.

Helios: -Snuggling with Algira- <Tagg and Tracer took Nadia and I to hunt a couple weeks ago on Knot. The others never seem to want to go with them for some reason, I wonder why?>
