On one of the islands...

- A Caterpie is about to crawl out of its home, only to be stopped by its mother -

Overprotective Butterfree Mother: <Ah! Don't go out there! Don't you hear that there is an awful creature out there eating other mons!?>

The Caterpie: <... You know, there are a lot of other Pokémon that might eat me as well.>

Overprotetive Butterfree Mother: <Exactly! And that is why you must never wander away from home, where I can keep an eye on you twenty four hours a day, seven days a week!>

The Caterpie: <But if I became stronger, I could...>

The Butterfree: <Not to mention all the other unsafe things out there! Like cars, and fire, and evil teams, and big Pokémon that can step on you, and falling objects, and harsh weather, and meteors, and the plague, and->

The Caterpie: (sweatdrops as its mother continues listing off several other potential dangers, which soon get increasingly silly and unlikely)

Lyra: *now a human again* So, what are you going to do with this thing?

Rex: Well, I was going to do my own research with it...but now I'm kind of hesitant. What if I tell Prof. Elm and it becomes a notable item? Someone could use its powers for evil. Just imagine if someone used this to turn into a Legendary Pokemon!

Lyra: *frowns* That is kind of a scary thought.

Rex: For now, I think I'll just hold onto it. I'm pretty good at keeping up with my things, so I don't think there should be any problem.

Lyra: Alright. ...Oh, I just had a thought.

Rex: What's that?

Lyra: If it turns people into Pokemon, maybe it turns Pokemon into people!

Rex: ... *blink* Why didn't I think of that?

Aqua: <Oh oh!> *runs over* <I want to put on the shiny bracelet!>

Lyra: *blink* I can still understand her.

Rex: Side effects. Come here, Aqua. *pets her gently, slipping the armband onto her left, front leg*

Aqua: *her tail wags excitedly* <Yay!>

Rex: ...

Lyra: ...

Rex: Hmm, I guess it's a no go.

Aqua: <Whatever. You're just hating on my style. :|>

-Somewhere in Pummelo Island's junkyard-

-A bunch of Nidoran, Lopunny, and Buneary are stackng various things they've stolen into a tower to the moon-

-Muddy and Limna start directing water attacks at the last remaining teeth-

Thresher: -Panting heavily inside the Dive Bubble-

Lake: <Whoa!> -Swims out of the way of a gunk bubble.- <Could somemon deal with these bubbles for us?>

Woolly: <Okay, Lake! Aim for the bubbles, guys!>

-Everyone incapable of using Water type moves fire attacks at the bubbles to pop them, so that Lake and Milo can clean the last few teeth without having to worry about getting hit.-

Stratus: <I think we're nearly done!>

Milo: <Great! Next time, though, this guy should hire a dentist!>

-Pankaja has finished cleaning a tooth, while Tangent braces him to cut his Water Gun's recoil-

-After some more cleaning, the Huntail sinks into the tunnel from whence it came-

Muddy: <And remember to floss!>

-A Shine Sprite comes up soon after-

Rex: *has Aqua in his lap, scratching her back* So, what's up, Lyra? Were you looking for me?

Lyra: Not really. When I heard you were in the area, I thought I'd come by and see how you were doing~ *grins*

Rex: O-oh. That's cool, I guess.

Aqua: *yawns tiredly*

Rex: *sets her down* Go get some sleep, okay Aqua?

Aqua: <Kay. Night, grandpa~> *heads back over by Rascal and Minty, who are both sleeping and cuddles up next to them*

Lyra: *smiles* She calls you grandpa?

Rex: I guess she thinks of me as Rascal's dad.

Lyra: Awww.

Rex: *nods, suddenly hit by a wave of fatigue himself* Urg...I think that bracelet sapped the rest of my energy.

Lyra: *yawns as well* Me too... let's more in the morning.

Rex: *lies on his side* Night, Lyra.

Lyra: *lays a bit away from him, facing the other direction* Night, Rex.

*they sleep*

~A while later~

Anya: <Seems they already went to sleep. And that girl is here, too.>

Lian: <Yeah. You ever get the feeling you missed something import- berries!> *dives on her pile and begins nomming*

The Butterfree: <... And zombies, and evil vampires, and those werewolves on motorcycles, and->

Meanwhile, somewhere else...

Emolga: <Hmm... What to steal next...?>

???: <There she is!>

Emolga: <Huh?>

- Emolga turns to see a group of Clefairy glaring at her -

Emolga: <Uh... Hi?>

Random Clefairy: <You stole the moon! Give it back!>

Emolga: <Yeah, yeah... I'll put it back later.>

Random Clefairy: <No! Put it back now!>

Another Clefairy: <Yeah! Do you have any idea how much trouble this could cause!? Darker nights, lack of habitats for tidal Pokémon...>

Random Clefairy: <The Moonlight move being rendered practically useless, Eevees not being able to evolve into Umbreons...>

Another Clefairy: <And that one motorcycle gang of werewolves being unable to transform into their werewolf forms and therefore being unable to fight those evil vampires that want to take over the world!>

Emolga: (tilts her head slightly) <... Werewolves on motorcycles?>

Random Clefairy: <Plus, what are we Clefairy supposed to worship?>

Another Clefairy: <Yeah! Return it!>

Emolga: <Okay, okay... I'll return it... But first, I'm off to steal a language.>

Clefairies: <RETURN IT NOW!>

- All the Clefairies charge Emolga, taking turns slapping her -

Emolga: <Ow! Ow! Stop it! OW!>

- Some of the Clefairies end up paralyzed by Emolga's Static Ability, but that doesn't stop them for fighting for their moon -

- A short distance away -

Cresselia: (watching from some bushes) <Hehe! I love those Clefairies!>

-Some of the Trainers are making battle exhibitions for a group of schoolers. Dintel and Algira are watching a battle between a Spinarak and a Hariyama while Ichtacya and Copahue are discussing about Algira...-

Wonder where should I go next... if I want to reach Navel Island anytime soon I should be getting ready at this point... although exploring another random island doesn't sound that bad...

-lies on the grass and looks at the sky-

Oh well, it's been a peaceful week, I guess I can keep taking it slow.

Copahue — <...Aren't you like, being a bit too judgmental?>

Ichtacya (paces around) — <Well... I admit the thing with Shahinne was not her fault... for the most part...> — blushes a bit — <I should have been paying more attention to begin with.>

Copahue (puffs chest) — <That's what I'm here for.>

Ichtacya — <Still, I don't like her... to be honest, I don't even trust her.>

-Copahue looks at the battles taking place-

Copahue — <Perhaps sharing a battleground with her will make you both change minds...?>

Ichtacya (shakes head) — <...Ugh.>

-The young Lugia cautiously sticks his head out of Lake's bag.-

Nadia: <Don't worry, it's over.>

Pleo: <Oh. Huh?> -Catches sight of the Shine Sprite, his eyes going wide at the sight of it.- <Ooh, shiny...>

Chord: <Well, that was different.>

Guardé: <Why did you reel my in like that? I could have slain him easily!>

Teala: <But he ate you!>

Guardé: <So?>

Teala: -Blinks.-

Chord: <Yeah, this is what we have to put up with...>

-Floats over and grabs the Shine Sprite, which teleports us back to the surface-

Harriet: <Hmm. Got any nines?>

Treeo: <Nope. Go fish.>

Harriet: <Darn.>

-All of a sudden, all of us are teleported back to the top of a cliff, giving both Harriet and Treeo a shock.-

Treeo: <WHAAA!>

Harriet: <CAW!> -Falls over backwards, sending cards flying everywhere.-

Pleo: <That was awesome! Do it again!>

Chord: <Hey! What did we tell you about teleporting us without warning!>

Guardé: <I didn't do that! Honest!>

Harriet: -Sits up, adjusting her "hat."- <...Oh! You're okay!>

Treeo: <Did you manage to sort things out down there?>

Lake: -Nods.- <Yeah, I think so.>

Woolly: <So, all the pollution should be gone now?>

Audrey: <It should be...>

- Still running -

Are we... Are we almost away from that thing?

-The slope opens downward into a steep slide, the boulder still rolling after us and picking up speed-

Odette: (peeks over my shoulder again) <Spiky thing is moving faster now!>

- Tries to run even faster -

-It becomes steep enough that we are now simply sliding/falling-

..........................AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

AAAAH!

Tulip: <WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE, YES!>

Odette: <Wheeeee!>

-It levels out, and we're headed toward a wide chasm, with a deep pit of tar at the bottom-

- Eyes widen -

...

Tulip: <I DON'T LIKE THIS, YES!>

Odette: (cheerfully) <This is fun!>

Tulip: <NO, IT'S NOT, YES!>

...Are we supposed to jump that?!

~Later still~

Lyra: *wakes up, stretching her arms and sitting up* Mnna...what time is it? *turns around* Rex, are you u- Rex? *surprised to note that he is gone, as are his Pokemon* ...Jerk. Can't believe he ditched m-

Spinda!Rex: <Aaaah!!> *comes falling out of a nearby tree, landing on Lyra*

Lyra: Ack! *falls on her back*

Spinda!Rex: <Oh good. Something soft broke my fall.> *sighs happily*

Lyra: *eye twitch* Rex...

Spinda!Rex: <...Oh crap.>

I-I don't know! Can we?

Odette: <Ooh! Sounds like fun! Let's try it!>

Tulip: <...>

-As the battle demonstrations continue, one of the teachers stands at one of the sides of the battleground and calls for volunteers; some kids, an old lady, a traffic guard out of duty, a painter and a hiker are among the volunteers-

Ichtacya (comes around) — <Can we go? Please? Pleaaaaaaaaaaaase? :3>

-sighs-

— Fine, fine. Just, let's stand by the end of the queue.

-Algira flies behind us-

Algira — <I'm supposed to go battling too, right?>

-Ichtacya narrows her eyes at her, thinking of what Copahue said-

— We'll see Algira. It all depends on whether you behave.

On the (sea) road to Shamoutli Island

-A Pidgeot carrying some messages, among those a wooden sign with Algira's face drawn on it, is perched on a random Wailord while talking to some of the sea creatures going south-

Random Prinplup — <I don't get it... why is this one so important? I'm sure I'd try and eat you too if you were, well, food.>

Pidgeot — <I don't recall. The Nuzleaf told me this... "creature" had caused a lot of pain at Butwal Island.>

Random Gyarados — <Awww.... I was there last summer... really, nothing ever happens there...>

Random Prinplup (frowns) — <Until now, it seems.>

Pidgeot — <Anyway, they tasked me to make sure that the news fly around. Perhaps this creature could try to go to the other islands, too...>

Random Gyarados — <But why would it? It was already nomming the bugs at Butwal and oh. my. god.>

-The Gyarados goes almost white. The Prinplup holds him and starts shaking him-

Random Primplup - <...What? What? SPEAK!>

Random Gyarados — <...P-P-P-Perhaps it ate all the bugs in the island! Cleopatra will be next!>

Wailord — <Aren't you, like, exaggerating?>

Random Gyarados — <Just think about it! Then it will be Navel, and Kinnow, and Moro, and...>

-the Prinplup, the Pidgeot and the Gyarados stare at each other in shock-

Pidgeot — <...Perhaps it could go to the southern islands too.>

Random Gyarados — <Boss, we should head to the south and give warning there, too.>

Random Primplup — <Well one'd hope that the mons at the islands take care of this foul creature, but...> — sighs — <Fine. Just in case.>

-to the Pidgeot-

Random Prinplup — <You go your way to the Shrines of the Gods. We will carry this very important news around the archipelago.>

-the Pidgeot bows-

Pidgeot — <Thanks. You're taking a great burden off me, and doing the Islands a great service.>

Random Gyarados — <Be careful in your travels, and go back home safe.>

Pidgeot — <Thanks, I'll try.>

-the Pidgeot soars west, while the migrating water mons start discussing the news of this foul creature who noms other bug mons, as they head slowly to the south-
