-The memory fades around them-

<Snowman>: <She succeded where you failed Mezzo~ Are you just to Adamant to accept the truth~? Are you jealous that she got the lion's share because she was prepared~? You're fooling yourself if you think you are in any way stronger than she is~>

-Snowman takes a puff-

All right. So she won one battle. In case you forget, Nimbasa City, which as you recall, was their main stronghold, was taken down solely by the actions of myself. And unlike her, I was right there on the battlefield the whole time, not sitting in a little palace being waited on hand and foot.

<Snowman>: <Lets forget that Itchy discovered the base and destroyed it forcing the main resistance to flee for their lives~ but I digress, maybe I should show you... a different memory~>

-Snowman snaps her fingers, the walls around turn into the Mahogany walls of the Midori Room-

<Past!Samuel>: <I will never join you!>

<Past!Sol>: <Fine then. His Garchomp ~fingersnap~>

-Past!Eridan forces the boy to the ground as the Midori room Pokemon salvage the Garchomp to pieces-

-Makes portals to one of the raised platforms to get one block, and shoots a portal down at the pit to get the other-

Helios and Wolf's track

-The timer reaches zero, and a blue portal appears-

Helios: -Flits through the portal outside- <Well that was weird.>

-walks through the portal-

-somewhat drawn out, to myself- Whaaat the heeell...

-Felis tilts his head-

Felis: <We're supposed to be impressed by this?>

Honestly. Don't you know anything about handling prisoners? You get information out of them before you kill them.

-In a test chamber, somewhere in the Sea of Kyogre-

-Enters the next room with Shaun, Vesta, and Iron Marrow-

"... What are those?"

<Shaun: "It looks like you're supposed to hold it...">

<Vesta: "I think that it's some sort of weapon...">

<Iron Marrow: "Hmph. I don't need this pathetic contraption. My club will serve me just fine.">

"... Considering what we just went through back there, I think that you're going to need all of the help you can get..."

<Shaun: "Think of it this way... It's a chance to gather more information about the world outside your tribe...">

<Iron Marrow: "... Very well then...">

-Picks up Portal Gun with free arm-

<Snowman>: <That wasn't the motivation>

-The Midori Room Pokemon salvage the Ampharos-

-I walk through a corridor with Maekrite going on my head so that I can't see him sobbing; after a while the sobbing subsides however, as I try the possibilities of the so-called Portal Gun by shooting Orange portals and Blue portals to some wall stripes and tossing small objects through them. Maekrite's natural base morph curiosity kicks again-

Maekrite — <So I just ru◯ppear here?¦n through the portal and a◯>

— Yeah... it seems.

-I examine the armpad after having picked up a poison syringe from the "weapons" toolbox and attached it to the socket. With a small swift motion of my hand, the needle protrudes from the socket below my palm.-

Nifty...

Felis: <And we're back to threats.>

You realize that making any sort of move against me is treason against our lords, don't you? If you tried anything your little city would be wiped off the map.

<Snowman>: <It doesn't matter, Napoleon going to make his move any moment now...~ Even the best of Liepard and Scolipede's forces couldn't take him down in his fury...~>

-The memory fades-

<Snowman>: <Not even yours, not even hers~ Napoleon is higher on the ladder of Power than either you or Sol~ And when he come's here, he won't spare your life because you happen to be a general~ In fact, that would give him all the more reason to kill you~ I highly doubt that Liepard and Scolipede themselves could beat him~>

-Snowman takes another puff-

<Snowman>: <Oh well, you disregard my warning, you die~ Farewell~!>

-Snowman dissapears, leaving not a trace that she was there-

Helios: -Flits forward- <Let's keep going.>

-While I finish testing the syringe against the walls, for when I find what I hope might be a Pokéfutures operative or something, Maekrite darts forwards and calls me from a corner-

Maekrite — <Found a door!>

-I wave to him and saddle up, arranging the suit's belt which I notice has some small ledges, as if to support some small device. I make a mental note to check the toolbox for an instruction manual next time-

— Let's hope this gets us out of here...

Well, this is just perfect.

Felis: <She doesn't even realize that she gave his whole plan away, does she?>

Shadow, compose a message to be sent to high command. Tell them all about this "Napoleon" character. And maybe we will get that city of hers wiped off the map.

...Shadow? Arceusdammit, where the hell is he?

Felis: <I'll send out a messenger.>

Be sure to record everything she said about him.

Felis: <Oh, I wouldn't miss it for the world.>

Silent's Track

-the next room features an intricate maze of panels, watched over by a large camera-

This next test features an intellectual challenge. You are to navigate this track in a manner depositing you at the exit, touching every floor tile, without crossing your path.

Compliance with testing condition shall be enforced by surveillance.

-a voice hisses from behind the panel-

???: She got you too? It's dangerous out there! Get away from the cameras!

Back in Undella Town

-Napoleon heads too the Midori Room, Holding a dagger behind his back-

<Napoleon>: <Snowman has forced me to take action earlier than I expected by telling that stupid Mezzo girl... What is her motivation for doing that to me? If it wasn't for the fact that I can't kill Snowman, she'd already be dead>

-Napoleon goes into the Midori Room, closing the door behind him as he heads off to the the Head Pokemon's room-

Whoever set this up obviously has had a lot of time. What is the point of all of this? Why not cut to the chase? Why am I not letting Maekrite break thru a wall?

-I look around and then at the camera-

— Maekrite, we comply with the conditions, just in case. — I look up at the camera — So long as you play fair too, whoever you are!

-I recall Maekrite by my side and step on a tile, which changes color ever so slightly-

Maekrite — <This seems to mark our progress...>

— And the camera as well.

-As I look thru a corner of the maze, I see a road with a dead end-

But I have to run to it either way. Which means...

-Take a look at the Portal Gun-

Of course. I have to treat this like if it was a wrap-around maze!

— Maekrite, come on! Pay attention to how many walls and dead ends do you see.

Maekrite (stutters) — <S-Sure? What do I do if there's more than four? I'm not sure if->

-We go explore the maze slowly, reaching a dead end; then I shoot a Orange Portal to the other side of the room and a Blue Portal to the wall in front of me, and go through...-
