She just disappeared? Like that?

Okay, this is officially weird. Weirder than a resistance base populated entirely by Pokemon being hidden in the Battle Subway even.

Volcarona: <Who said that?!>

-Walks out of the storeroom, holding a new AK-47, modified to shoot armor-piercing, metal tranq darts.

It's powered by, and works entirerly because of, Rule of Cool!

-Sits down on the couch closest to the door, and starts polishing it.

-The Blobble scans The area, buT does noT sense any oTher minds-

Blobble: (thinking) <What could she be talking about...>

-walks into pokemon center-

-sees Gamer with gun and tries to avoid him as much as she can-

-Sniff sniff-

Volcarona: <I smell guns!>

-She begins scouring for the source excitedly-

Calm down. It's only a tranq rifle.

Volcarona: <Aww. I prefer lasers and rocket launchers.>

...Hang on. How the hell did I know her name?! I didn't read her mind at all!

-Still avoids Gamer despite the gun being "Only a Tranq Rifle"-

-hears that last bit- ....Wait, What? And why is that bug still here!?

Mace is not bug repellent, it's a type of pepper spray. If anything, it would make the Fire-typed Volcarona more powerful.
