-Maekrite runs hurriedly to Luke's side-

Maekrite — <Battle! Yay! That'll be interesting!> — to me — <Hey! Told you I could get a battle! Get me Dintel, on the double!>

- Looks over at Tagg -

Huh?

Alright, come on then Lewis.

Lewis: -Walks over.- <Hello, I'm Lewis. Could I just ask that you be careful with those spikes? I don't really want to damage my flotation sack...>

Simon: <Yeah, otherwise he'll spend the next few weeks curled up in a ball, crying.>

Lewis: <I wasn't crying!>

Simon: <Whatever you say. Just kick his bum for me, okay?>

Lewis: <...Sure.> -Assumes battle stance.-

Well if you're done talking, use Aqua Jet, Lewis.

-Lewis cloaks himself at water, propelling himself at high speed towards Maekrite.-

I could see the bored look on your face. Anyway, Luke and Silent are having a battle now.

Oh, right.

Maekrite — <I'll be careful I promise, otherwise they'll jail Trainer!>

-The Aqua Jet attack homes in-

Maekrite — <Eeee~!>

-turns to the side to take the attack on the flank and is thrown rolling on the ground-

Maekrite — <Ouch! ...Nice one, but I have my tricks too!> — runs towards Lewis preparing a Shadow Claw.

Lewis: -Gets Shadow clawed.- <Ow! You little...>

-Lewis's fists freeze over as he gives Maekrite a one-two punch.-

Lewis: <Cold enough for you?>

Simon: <Oh Arceus, that was bad.>

Maekrite — <Ouch!... Ackkk!!!> — shudders — <Brrrr.... Hey! How cold from your part!>

-Leaps forward, aiming his horn down so as to not accidentally puncture the sac-

Maekrite — <I can... (thurst) be insistent... (thurst) too!>

Simon: [—<And that was somehow even worse.>

Lewis: <Ow, ow, ow! Grr...>

-Lewis waits for the right moment, then bites down on Maekrite hard.-

-Maekrite is cut short by the bite and has to try and stand up again-

Maekrite — <Ouch...!> — shakes Lewis off, carefully — <Now that was something I didn't expect, heh...>

-Maekrite circles around Lewis and Double Kicks him, retreating after-

Maekrite — <There! You can have some appreciation, too!>

-Tries to make conversation-

I still haven't gotten word on who my seventh round opponent is yet.

Lewis: <Argh...Tough one, aren't ya?>

-Lewis takes a deep breath, then fires a Water Gun at Maekrite.-

-Maekrite is hit by the Water Gun as he is turning around, pushing him backwards but he still manages to stand; however he loses the momentum he had built-

Maekrite — <Ooooff...!> -shakes himself-

Maekrite — <Got lucky... Here, lemme try something... less clean!>

-Maekrite charges a Sludge Bomb, rears himself up to arc the attack and fires it straight at Lewis's head-

Oh? Well, whoever your next opponent is, I'm sure it'll be a pretty tough battle since you have gotten this far.

Lewis: <Oh, Arceus...Wait!>

-Lewis inflates his sack, then ducks pulls his head down, the Sludge Bomb splashing off harmlessly.-

Lewis: -Pokes his head back out.- <Phew! Didn't think that would work.>

-Maekrite blinks-

Maekrite — <Wow... that was a pretty interesting way to resist the attack.>

-Maekrite smirks, breathes a bit hard, then runs towards Lewis aiming for his legs-

Maekrite — <Maybe you can let me congratulate you. A close peck, maybe?>

Simon: <NO! NOT BETWEEN THE LEGS!>

Lewis: <YIPE!> -Deflates his sack, then Quick Attacks at Maekrite.-

-Maekrite brakes with difficulty, looking up-

Maekrite — <Oh damn oh damn wait! The horn!>

-Maekrite leans his horn to the ground and drops his ears, then is hit by the Quick Attack and pushed against the ground-

Maekrite — <OUCH!>

-Maekrite stands up, shaking his head in pain-

I'm certain it will be. I just hope I can pull a victory, since I'd be rather annoyed if I didn't at least make it to the finals before being beaten.

I'm sure you'll do well, Tagg.

-Lewis jumps off Maekrite, looking a little ill all of a sudden.-

Lewis: <Ow...>

Simon: <Lewis? Are you alright, friend?>

Lewis: <Nah, I think he poisoned me...>

Ooh, Poison Point, obviously. Guess we better finish this quickly. Use Aqua jet again!

-Lewis quickly cloaks himself in water and shoots at Maekrite again.-

-Maekrite struggles to get up-

Good Nidoran Angel — <What's taking you so long? By this time she'd already have left with another guy already!>

Maekrite -growls — <Aw HECK no!>

-Maekrite stands firm and Endures the Aqua Jet attack-

Maekrite — <Hold it aaand...>

-charges a Thunderbolt at close range, releasing it with his horn as it grazes Lewis's belly-

Maekrite — <You fight a good fight, Lewis! Surely you merit a position with Luke's Pokemon...>
