What happens if a Ditto copies someone's DNA and runs off with it?

I guess a Pokemon will be born from the donor species genetic material.

I need to judge whether they're somemon I want on my team before I can catch one, Tagg. Imagine if I had used a Quick Ball on that sixth one.

Ugh. 48 Ditto, and only one worth catching. And we accidentally knocked that one out.

Oh yes, using the Poke Radar also increases your chances of catching a shiny.

Hatbox: Wow, that's a lot of Ditto knocked out! I wonder if Mister Wolf will come across one he likes!

Could a Ditto, in theory, copy a human's DNA, take their form, and go off living as them?
