You need to play it in a specific platform so that the tower's platform is on view when you are using the song. From the platform you begin in when you enter the room, leap to the left, stare back at the windowed wall and make sure to let Navi "slide away" and up before calling the song.

She won't stay over there though. As soon as I pull out the Ocarina, she comes rocketing back to me.

How close can you get that the Hookshot will still show the target unobstructed? IIRC, that gives an estimate of where you can call the Scarecrow from

So long as it works on other places, it works here. You are supposed to talk to the Scarecrows in past then future to activate and even learn the song. Then again, worst case you talked to the past scarecrows again without going to the future too, and "reseted" the song. That has happened to me before...

I haven't seen him in the future yet. I can play the song, and it says "You played the Scarecrow's Song" but you must have to talk to him again in order for the goddamn thing to do anything.

What a waste of time. >:[ Oh well, Volvagia time!
