-Marina dodges the Ice Beam, flies up to Crush and tries to Thunderpunch him-

- Crush takes some damage, but not too much thanks to his high defense -

Ice Beam again!

- Crush tries firing another Ice Beam at Marina while she is still within close range -

-Marina strikes a dramatic pose just before being frozen-

Odd. That's not the sort of thing Marina would usually do. Thanks, Marina. You did well.

-Recalls her and nervously sends out Riptide-

Riptide, pal... It's all up to you now.
Do you think we can do this?

Riptide: I don't know... But we can try.

True, true. Earthquake!

-Riptide stomps and sends a shockwave at Crush-

- Crush has recovered a slight amount of health thanks to his shell bell -

Use Protect!

- Crush shields himself from the Earthquake attack -

Now, use Ancient Power!

- Crush attacks Riptide with glowing rocks -

-Riptide blasts the rocks away with a jet of pressurized water, before countering with another Earthquake and healing with his Leftovers-

Riptide: Win or lose, I'm not making this easy for you!

Crush, use Protect again!

- Crush manages to protect himself from the attack -

Two can play this game. Crush! Use Earthquake!

- Crush sends a shockwave at Riptide -

This could go on for a while.

-Riptide tries to dodge the shockwave, but his foot gets caught and he trips up. He still takes damage, but less than he would have-

Riptide: Twice inna row?! No fair!

-Riptide gets back up and sends another shockwave at Crush-

- Crush regains some health from his shell bell, but fails to shield himself from the Earthquake attack in time. Luckily, his high defense keeps him from taking too much damage -

Crush, use Curse!

- Crush lowers his speed, increasing attack and defense -

And now, use Rock Slide!

- Crush throws several rocks at Riptide -

Rip, Surf!

-Riptide rides over the rocks on a giant wave, then crashes it down on Crush while eating some Leftovers-

- Crush's health is now just below half -

(thinking) Hmm... How can I turn this situation back around...?

Crush, use Blizzard!

- Crush blasts Riptide with a blast of cold air from his mouth, he also takes the liberty of freezing some of the arena floor while at it -

Riptide: WHOAH, NELLY! That's chilly!
-Riptide isn't affected much by the actual attack, but it blasts him back and the new slippery floor causes him to trip and smash into the ground-

Riptide: Oof!

...Can you still fight?

-Riptide recovers a little with his Leftovers, gets to his feet and glares at Crush-

Riptide: Yep.

Well then. Try a Hydro Pump!

-Riptide does just that-

Crush, Aqua Jet!

- Crush gets down on all fours, and uses Aqua Jet to propel himself across the slippery floor, also causing the Hydro Pump to miss -

And now, use Crunch!

- Crush propels himself towards Riptide, and bites down on his leg -

Riptide: HEY! GET OFFA MY LEG!

-Riptide shakes his leg around and eventually manages to shake Crush off, but not after taking a fair amount of damage-

-Riptide looks like he could collapse any second, but he tries another Hydro Pump at point blank range-
-He heals slightly with his Leftovers after this, but at this point, it doesn't seem to help much-

- Crush regains some health from his shell bell, then quickly puts up a Protect shield, and is unharmed by the attack, although it does send him sliding across the slippery floor, causing him to bump into a wall -

Okay, let's do this! Use Earthquake!

- Crush sends another shock wave at Riptide -

-Riptide doesn't waste any energy saying anything or trying to avoid the shock wave-
-He gets knocked to the ground and doesn't move-
...



-Riptide twitches, and slowly gets back to his feet-

-He makes his way over to Crush, and eventually manages to grab hold of him-

-Riptide opens his mouth and puts all of his energy into blasting the Carracosta with his most powerful Hydro Cannon, before flopping on the ground-

...Buddy?

-After a quick heal at the Pokemon Center, Fool is watching the rest of Slouch and DS's battle from the bleachers with her Archen in her arms. Quetzal is secretly rooting for Crush-

- Crush is sent sliding across the ice from the Hydro Cannon and crashes into a wall -

Crush!

- Crush is just barely hanging on, trying to stay conscious -

Crush: (panting) <Is it... Is it over? Did we... win?>

-Quetzal squeals-

-Dramatic Fan pretends to faint and bonks his head on a chair-

DF: Ow! Shit!

- Crush struggles to get back on his feet, and stay up, partially because of his low health, and partially because the ground is still covered in ice -

...

-Riptide grunts-

Rip!
Are you alright? That looks pretty painful.

Riptide: Ehh. Could be worse.
-Has some Leftovers and gets to his feet as well-
