Aw, they don't bite. They don't even peck. The ones that are in packs don't even know ember yet. Those that are just wandering around randomly are the ones you have to look out for.

Say... Where's their momma anyhow? If they're in packs like this, she must be close by. I think Flare would like to meet her, Luke! OH! But I have to let my pokemon out! They've been cooped up for days! -tosses the pokeballs into the air and Spoons, Gallade, and the Regis all come out-

Spoons: <Ooooh! Look at all of these cuties!> -pets a Torchic-

-Cobalt is now giving the Torchic a psychic zero-g experience which they enjoy-

Never would've thought he'd be great with kids since he's so stoic most of the time.

-I watch as Woolly talks with Spoons.-

Flare: Yeah?

Would you like to meet another Blaziken?

Flare: ...Sure.

-Meanwhile, over in his tree, Crowley makes sure I'm not looking, then takes a deep breath.-

Crowley: KROOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!

-A few seconds later, a bunch of Murkrow land on the branch next to him. The largest one, steps forward.-

Murkrow: <You called for us, boss?>

Crowley: <Yeah. Would you mind getting me something to eat? I'll let you keep some food for yourselves.>

Murkrow: <Okay boss.> -Turns to the other Murkrow.- <You heard him. Let's get to it!>

-As the Murkrow take flight, Crowley sighs and relaxes.-

-Spoons and Woolly now have a very detailed and deep conversation about eyelashes-

Oh sure. Come on Flare, I think she should be somewhere around here... -looks around for a little bit and finds a Blaziken with short hair and a Torchic on her head, eyeing Cobalt's group of Torchic- There she is! Come on, I'll show you to her!

Blaziken: -notices the others coming up, then stands up when she recognizes Jane. She folds her arms and smiles- <Well well well, when was the last time you came to visit?

Hey there Yena! Sorry I haven't shown up very often!

Yena: <No worries. Who's your friend?> -looks at Luke and Flare-

I'm Luke. My friend here is Flare.

Flare: ...Hi.

Yena: Hello Flare. I'm Yena. -reaches out for a handshake- I'm the mother of those Torchic over there, with the Metagross.

Flare: -Shakes Yena's hand.- Nice to meet you. -Watches Cobalt play with the Torchics.- Wow...You have a lot of kids.

-Nearby, one or Crowley's Murkrows snatches some Oran Berries of a nearby bush.-

- My Pokémon and I are still relaxing in the beach area of Sandgem town -

This is nice, huh? Just the seven of us, spending some time together.

Velvet: <Actually, if you count the Pokémon that is inside the egg Darach asked you to look after, there's eight of us.>

Briar Rose: <What do you think is going to hatch from it?>

I think it may be a Pokémon from the Unova region, the look of the egg reminds of a picture I saw of one.

Velvet: <I remember the day I hatched from my egg.>

Hot Stuff: <Really?>

Velvet: <Yeah... Do you know what the first thing my former owner Bebe did after I hatched from my egg? She started dressing me up in cute outfits and taking pictures of me while going on and on about how cute I was.>

Hot Stuff: (bursts out laughing)

Velvet: <Thank goodness DS eventually came along, and Bebe allowed me to go with her so she could spend more time working with the Pokémon storage system.>

Yena: -chuckles- I take it you've never had to lay eggs before? Blaziken usually lay at least 7 fertilized eggs at a time.

Flare: -Looks worried, clutches her behind.-

It's okay Flare. I'm not much of a breeder, so I won't be making you lay any eggs any time soon.

Flare: Oh. Phew.

I've tried breeding a few times, but it's not really my thing.

And now I'm off to get that special Celebi over at my local Gamestop.

Yena: -bursts out laughing- I'm not saying you're going to have to lay that many eggs any time soon! Lots of female Blaziken would much rather kick a male in the privates than lay their eggs for them anyway. But, you know, those tiny white eggs that you humans eat every morning have to come from somewhere.

-Jane decides to walk off with the Regis and play a game of hide and seek with them. Regigigas is the first seeker-

-Gallade is just staring off into space-

Hot Stuff: (after listening to Velvet's story) <Hahaha! That's hilarious!>

Velvet: <Well, what was your life like before you met DS, Hot Stuff?>

Hot Stuff: <Well... I grew up in one of those top-secret starter Pokémon breeding facilities... I remember hanging with several other Chimchar, and there was this one Chimchar who kept being mean to the younger Chimchar for no reason. So one day, I got fed up with his attitude, and I punched him in the face. The other Chimchar made me their leader after that, a position I held until I was sent to Professor Rowan's lab where I met DS.>

Velvet: <Really?>

Hot Stuff: <Yeah...>

Briar Rose: <... So, what happened to the other Chimchar after you left?>

Hot Stuff: (shrugs) <I have no idea. I guess they eventually got sent to Professor Rowan's lab to be handed out to beginning trainers as well.>

-In the background, another Murkrow snatches some birdseed and flies off with it.-

I'll be fine. Since I can't move very well, I'm going to try to hone my powers with Jirachi.

Jirachi: <I can't help you unless you actually wish for it, you know...>

Fine. Jirachi, I wish that you would help me hone my psychic powers now.

Yena: You bet I have! Most of the other Blaziken here like to fight me just for the sake of fighting me. If you want, I could fight you right now! You up for it?

Silvermist: <Well, my life before I met DS wasn't particularly interesting. Just a lot of swimming, that's pretty much it.>

Wings: <Yeah, I pretty much just came out to route 203 at night to hunt for little wild Pokémon so I could drink their blood. I would spend most of the day just sleeping in a dark and quiet place, away from the sun.>

Hot Stuff: <Wait... You were a Zubat when we first met, how could you possibly tell if the sun was out or not when you didn't have eyes back then?>

Wings: <It was warm outside, okay? I didn't really like the warmth from the sun back then, and preferred cooler places. After DS caught me, I slowly got used to being outside in sunlight so it didn't bother me as much anyone.>

Briar Rose: <I always loved the sun! Although all I really remember is that I kept falling asleep whenever my friends and I were enjoying the sun, and they had always gone somewhere else by the time I woke up. I'm glad I met DS, at least she, Hot Stuff and the other Pokémon that eventually joined our team never left me behind anywhere even when I would doze off!>

Sparq: <I just used to run around with the other Pachirisu near Valley Windworks! We would bump into eachother and other wild Pokémon in the area a lot, it was a lot of fun!>

Flare: -Smirks, ignites wrists.- <Bring it on.>

Be careful you two.

Lake: <Best I'd better get ready to put out some fires.>

Good idea Lake.

Yena: -roars loudly and then runs straight at Flare, her leg ignited. Instead of kicking her, however, she uses Peck-

Flare: -Screeches, then retaliates with a Thunderpunch.-

Yena: -does a backflip in the air and lands on her feet, then speed back into Flare to Sky Uppercut her chin- HYYAAAAAAA!

Flare: -Is knocked back by the Sky Uppercut, but manages to pull herself up. Enraged, she attempts to hit Yena with Flamethrower.-
