The Room

Well hey a candle is still really useful, it was probably the only way I was able to turn Source and we'll need to make sure any haunting or possession around here is dispelled before we do any further jaunts.

-That being said, he does give another quick look around the apartment-

Just saying, I'm saving my powerful exorcism juice for Walter or whatever identity he's using in our version of the story. Aaaaah... Actually if our friend is possessed and walking towards the blades when the time comes I'll use it on her. Best to guarantee half of the best ending.

Niles: <So do you, snake.>

-He warps, twisting to take her shape.-

Lilith!Niles: <But from where?>

Camilla: <Oh dear, Shigure, you naughty boy...I hope you didn't hurt him too bad.>

-A Popplio pads out into the hall.-

Shigure: <Are you alright, dear?~>

-He blinks in confusion at the two Dratinis.-

Lilith!Niles: <I'm fine...I've been hit harder before.>

-His body twists again as he takes his human form and picks up Shigure the seal.-

Niles: "This is like Replicas all over again..."

"What kind of accommodations are in the ship?" Colt asked.

"Is the ship capable of interplanetary travel?" Lucario added, recalling Silas' aerospace background.

"What exactly are you planning on using this thing for?" Colt finished.

Lilith: <Hm... Shigure, that's a familiar- !>

Lilith abruptly pauses when Niles enters human form.

<You.. you were one of Lord Leo's retainers weren't you?>

Good to know. Well, between the two of us we've definitely got a lot of exorcism stuff to spare.

Athan: -glares- Hell no. Vin. -holds out his hand expectantly, eyeing the shotgun-

Vincent: -breezy- <You had the bone last.>

Athan: Vincent.

Vincent: <...> -looks left, looks right, then straight at his trainer- <You know what, no. This is just stupid, Athan. You're the one who got us dragged here in the first place. You and your pride. If you hadn't messed with the kid's head all those years ago...>

Athan: The fuck are you on about?

Vincent: <He came to us for help and we took advantage of his power. That's... That's what this is all about. It's one thing if it's just us, but, see - I'm not gonna help perform a ritual sacrifice on an innocent person who just showed up, just to save your hide.>

Athan: Vincent. Shut up and give me the gun. Or attack them, I don't care!

Vincent: -glances at the actors- <Welp, this was fun. Good luck.> -breaks the shotgun in his beak, throws it at Athan, and flies off-

Athan: -blinks and tries to run, but is stuck where he is-

We really shouldn't be too stingy, but I kinda hope we have leftovers after this. Potent ghost and demon repellent would be damn handy... Think this stuff would work on Glitches? They're kinda the level of 'enemy of the divine' we're staring down here.

-Niles holds Shigure to his chest.-

Niles: <What do you mean was?>

Akravator: <Thanks! You were a great audience and hope you'll be safe!>

Sheila, meanwhile, still doesn't break character.

Sheila: <Tough luck, buddy. Sorry what we're gonna do to you, but I gotta help my kid with her chronic illness.>

A Trapinch coughs.

At any rate, the Turtonator pats Athan down, looking for the final object.

Lilith: <I hadn't seen you in some time so I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly.> Lilith is a bit sheepish.

Athan: Hey! Get your nasty claws off me! -struggles-

-the Wobbuffet tail is hooked to his belt-

Sheila pulls the Wobbuffet tail from his belt.

Sheila: <Aha.>

<Well, with this key...>

She pulls out the Heart Squeaky Toy she got from Hae-won earlier.

<Guess I'll be making off with the sour cream.>

Hae-won: "You fiend! How can our web startup survive under these conditions?>

Sheila: <Hey.>

She puts the squeaky toy and the wobbuffet tail in the appropriate spots.

<That's not my problem.>

Camilla: <Boys...>

-She steps outside.-

Camilla: <Is that you, Lilith?>

Niles: <That can't be Lilith, she's dead.>

Camilla: <Did you forget that there are multiple universes?>

Lilith: <Lady Camilla? Yes, it's me, I'm...>

Niles' comment throws her off.

<Dead?>

The flash of an axe blade, far too much blood. The fading visage of the one she'd sworn to protect. The fog over Lilith's memory lifts, if just a little.

Athan: -indignant- No! No!! Hey! J-Just don't - Listen - !

-with all the organs in place, the wounds on the Houndoom carcass seal themselves over in a rapid healing action, and the glitter disappears. The Houndoom smoothly gets up as though from a nap, eyes alight and her fur glossy despite the visible ribs and an appearance that's gaunt even for her species-

Vaida: -to Hae-Won- <Thank you. This is a more than acceptable offering. Especially as I do enjoy stealing kills from Hale now and then.> -jumps down from the bed, slinking toward Athan-

Athan: -eyes wide- No, wait, no no no no -

Vaida: -snaps his neck in a Crunch and pushes the body over to scrape at his exposed abdomen with a single claw. She then steps back, highly satisfied- <He deserved worse, but old habits die hard. Before I forget...>

-the Houndoom gently breathes on the bed, setting it on fire. It burns down abnormally quickly, leaving behind a gray box with a latch-

Vaida: <Interesting show, by the way.> -tilts her head kindly at Hae-Won and her party and leaves, walking away through the fog-

-on Athan's stomach, written in blood, is:-

"Accommodations are 6, 2 person bedrooms in the lower deck, with one Captain's Room with plenty of space that I've already taken. Bathrooms are connected to the bedrooms, there are laundry sets in said bathrooms as well, and a larger area that boasts a kitchen lounge combination, Kitchen is in a upper area while Lounge has a large TV and multiple bolted chairs and a large sofa. It's very nice," Silas began.

Hacks smirked, ~As for interplanetary travel? No.~

"This thing doesn't have the current power to fly to other planets on a reasonable time and needs use of both its engine cells and a slingshot maneuver to make it to the moon, though that only takes 12 hours at its longest from what I understand."

~And we don't wanna owe Ziltoid another favor for engines that could fly us to Mars in a reasonable amount of time.~

"As tempting as it is."

The two sighed, Silas took another drink from his slushie.

"As for what I plan to do with the airship? Live in it, travel, see the world, see space, one day get it upgraded with better engines."

~We could also install some weapons and shoot asteroids.~

"Or alien craft since Ziltoid."

~Ziltoid...~

"Of course I have no idea where I'd get the weapons and quite frankly, currently I don't want them."

Silas turned back to the party, "That all? Well let's head inside then!"

Silas headed up the extended ramp and into the airlock, leading what people who had followed inside.

Sheila: <...Okay, I wanna look for an exit.>

Yunwa: "Oh, okay, well, makes sense you'd have food then."

"Guessing it wouldn't get back to where I'm from either, though. Honestly, though, I feel like this place has a lot more to see and stuff to eat now."

-they arrive at the lake. For some reason, sand lines the water's edge in a beach that's not supposed to be there, and a rope tied into a noose floats just in the shallows-

-the gray box Vaida left for them quietly opens on its own. Nestled inside are two items - A gold ring with a stylized bird feather on it surrounding the letter "R", and a small pyramid-shaped object that looks like a triforce and has a strange aura-

-Fortis looks at her completed project: a nest made up of pillows stolen from various couches and cabins-

Rouge: <Ooh, looks soft.>

Lakitu: <Yeah, it's like a pile of clouds!>

-Fortis sets Astral in the center, then turns on a lamp overhead-

Mercury: <What's the light for, boss?>

Fortis: It's an incubator! You keep the egg warm so it can hatch faster. It's like how birdies sit on their eggs to keep warm, but I didn't want to spend all day sitting on her so I got this lamp to warm her up instead!

Grayson: <Holy improvisation! That's a good idea!>

Fortis: Uh huh! And now we just need to wait for her to hatch!

Hae-won thinks for a bit, the ring makes her think of Vincent, so she picks that one.
