-following a pulse of intent, all of Logan's allies move to the background-

-the Eelektross bursts from the Great Ball and    ROARS-   

Logan: -goes into a practiced unthreatening stance, shoulder with the Styler loose, toward the Eelektross, arm lowered, eyes on it, softly- Right. I'm not gonna hurt you.

Shadow!Eelektross:    <SHREEEEEE!!!>   

Logan: Darn.

-it lunges again, but Logan is already in motion, darting out of the way-

-before hostility can build any further in the pursuit, they loop the Capture Disc around the Eelektross, the Aura-infused line radiating friendliness and calm-

Eelektross: -as it zips before its eyes, emitting unfamiliar cool, comforting sensation-    <...?>   

-and Logan calmly, assuredly begins the dance that they know best-

-the Eelektross's surprise wears off, and it strikes out again-

-Logan expertly weaves the Line out of the way, ducking away themselves, continuing to draw loops-

Logan: (calm.)

-not pushing, but impressions hovering at the edge of the Eelektross's consciousness, waiting to be let in-

Shadow!Eelektross:    <RAAAAGH?...!!!>   

-and it lashes out again, Logan backing away, their hands looping behind their back to direct the Disc, deftly dodging the Eelektross's attacks-

-this continues for a while, Logan layering (don't attack me.) slightly beneath the (calm.) they project, amending to a slightly stronger (don't go that way) whenever it loses sight of them and decides to rampage in another direction-

-Logan taking the (   pain   ) and (   rage   ) trickling in, neutralizing it with their coping mechanisms, lessening it within the Eelektross-

-then the Eelektross manages to catch the Capture Line, shattering it, Logan wincing, Styler battery depleting trying to stabilize it-

-and then it does it again-

-Logan retracts the line and draws back, ducking around behind the tree Addie and the rest are taking shelter in as the Eelektross strikes and misses them again-

Logan: -calmly, raising their Styler slightly- Addie, Charge.

Charge Assist!

-and Addie surges with Electric energy and drops it on the Styler, restoring its shield battery reserves-

Logan: -only slightly less calmly, still circling, as the Eelektross now snaps and bites inches away from them- Igor, Electric.

-he also flares with Electric energy, beaming a different "wavelength" of energy to the Styler-

Electric Assist!

-an electric-yellow glow surrounds their Styler and Disc, and they direct the Capture Disc to tap against the ground, against the Eelektross, against the air, and where it taps, a spark forms, each soon drawing a thin, bursting lightning strike...a strange one, Aurically-

-though it stuns the Eelektross, it brings no pain, and with each strike, the connection between them deepens, the discharge blasting still-peaceful Aura past the Eelektross's defenses-

-Logan takes advantage of the stun to gain some distance, and the Assist fades after several seconds, Igor seeming somewhat drained-

-by now, the (calm) and (peace) has started to sink in, the Eelektross's movements slowing, reading an honest (I am not your enemy) from the circling Aura-

-she makes a few halfhearted strikes out at the line, and at Logan, but the fight has started to leak out of her, de-escalating, the (   rage   ) calming, to an ember perhaps-

-and then she stops lashing out, the loops registering a success, a temporary bond forming-

Capture Complete!

Logan: -smiling- Phew, that—

Empathic Li   nk E s t a b l i s h e d .   

-and a void-sea of horrible, empty pain floods their mind-

-they    scream   -

Logan: -in sudden, terrible pain-    AAAAAUGH!   

Shadow!Eelektross: -startled, a feedback loop forming-    <R O A A A R !!>

Scarlette: I-I... wish I could believe that...

-Kai grins at Silas, and idly pets Vee, but before she can say anything to either of them or Megan, she's interrupted by Darrin. She turns around, standing up straighter and with a posture that gives more of an "official" impression.-

Kai: Ah, right. Unfortunately, I came here as a representative of Interpol's UB Task Force to detain these Ultra Beasts for rehabilitation with the Aether Foundation and PEFE's joint efforts. Also unfortunately, I am not technically an Interpol agent myself, and thus it is not my right to stray from this assignment. If you do wish to take care of any of these Ultra Beasts, you will have to discuss it with Chief Anabel and Detective Looker. And possibly go through bureaucracy with Aether and PEFE.

-She raises an eyebrow at Henri-

Kai: I get the feeling the UB Absorption will be particularly off-limits, though, due to its vampiric nature. "Absorption" is sure as hell a fitting codename.
