Whittington
<Yep, more evidence of that buck-toothed crim working with the pirates.>
Pinwheel Forest
-Pent takes a moment to process that-
Hoooooold on, hold up. Gudrunn is involved here? In what capacity?
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.-Kai winces at the implications.-
Kai: ...Geez. Definitely a bit more than a nasty Wingull, that's for sure.
Pinwheel Mishmash
Colt recognized Gudrunn’s name upon being spoken. He took a bit to process it before he shook his head. “What about her? Don’t tell me she’s under the Purple Sword’s influence, still,” he pleaded.
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Brie: Yeah. I didn't really plan on becoming a full-time trainer, honestly? I had Skyfire, that was pretty much enough. I was wandering around Kanto with her, she ended up evolving after a fight with some ghosts in Lavender Town. I decided, hey, why not try the Gym in Pewter City? You know, they'd all be easier after that, right? We were excited to fly together for the first time, I figured it would be far enough south to be out of range.
(dryly) It was not.
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.Dioh: -looks pleased- Definitely.
-they sail until the boat reaches the shore and automatically stops in the shallows. Up close, the island is littered with rocks, dead trees, and broken white marble ruins-
Dioh: -gets out, equipping his shieldbow- Now, be careful, this place's geography tends to change subtly -
-an odd shape appears in the distance, quickly flying toward them; it's a strangely bird-like, feathered Aztec Camera with giant chained earrings hanging from fleshy hooks on its chest; it prepares a Psybeam-
Dioh: 'scuse me! -takes aim and shoots it down with two arrows- Now, that was a Skeptic, one of the many types of fiends here. They patrol the edges of this island like sentinels. If there's one, there's a crowd...
-a high-pitched child's scream goes off in the ruins not far away; in its direction are more Skeptics-
Dioh: -looks happy- Ah, so we don't have to go looking for a rescue quest! Fantastic! -runs toward the screaming, picking off more fiends as he goes-
There is no disdain in nature, there is no humiliation.Kai: Geez... guess that's probably one of the reasons they mandate more experience before long-distance flying, risk of something bigger getting mad at you at such a high altitude?
Ryoma: "That said... I can't imagine that it would be good."
Morgan: "... Wait, why can you guys understand them and I can't?"
F!Robin: "Mira?"
Mira: ~... Oh, whoops!~ ^.^
F!Robin: "Right... but, I think it is because everyone else has been transformed into a pokemon at one point or another. I couldn't understand them until something similar to those armbands, albeit in reverse, transformed me into some sort of electric sheep."
Mira: ~It was pretty funny!~
F!Robin, by her expression, doesn't seem to agree.
Archer: <That sounds concerning, but we have more pressing problems. We should continue.>
Artoria: "Well, hopefully nothing too bad happened."
She checks everything in the past... month.
Artoria: "..."
"Corrin needs to see this."

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Brie: Pretty much. So yeah, we ended up in the hospital, weren't thrilled about flying in Kanto after that, so I went to Johto instead. Caught Tara and Whirlygig, ended up going on a journey from there.
But I was antsy around birds, and I'm pretty sure it showed? So they'd get antsy around me too. Got to the point where it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, pretty much.
-she sighs-
So yeah. Birds. Nerves. It's better now that I can actually talk to them, but like...
-she shrugs-
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.Channah's Mindscape
Skeptic... so if I had to guess they're kinda like Cynic.
-Following behind-
What are the other types?
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Dioh: Lemme think - I've seen these obese, ugly blue birds called Arrogances, and a blind crocodile, Sloth. Oh, and these creepy little wooden fellows named Loners. They're spawned by a big monster underground. And eurrggh-
-they come upon what looks like a necrotic, diseased, red-eyed Dolabella crouched over a young girl's prone, injured form, its mouth bloody and bared-
Dioh: D:
-the Dolabella thing suddenly darts around the body and launches itself at Tagg, using Frustration-
There is no disdain in nature, there is no humiliation.-Lucina blinks.-
Lucina: "There was a joke about the Shepards, wasn't there?"
-Sumia nods, her long neck bobbing.-
"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"Channah's Mindscape
-To Dioh-
I'm gonna assume Rage?
-Detects out of the way of Not!Dolabella's attack and summons bladed Aura chains to slice them in two-

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Kai: Yeah, I get that.
-She hugs Brie-
Kai: I used to have a colossal fear of Toxicroak, and as a result, a general distrust of Croagunk as well. Which, from my experiences, had backing. My mom was killed by one, before she came back as a Golurk. I was almost killed by one, and I still have the scar to prove it. And the heart damage. Deimos had three of them, almost as if to specifically get to me, and now I have blood on my hands that I'm never gonna totally wash off because of that bastard. And hell, even just hearing about Ever's Toxicroak helped to cement my distrust of them. Only reason I beat my fear was because J-Team shenanigans happened and now Toxicroak is my Pokeform.
Brie: Oh...oh Lugia, that's awful, I'm so sorry. I'm glad things are better, but...wow.
-she hugs back, and then blinks-
...Ever has a Toxicroak? I can't picture him with a Poison-type.
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.Kai: Had. Ever had a Toxicroak. I don't really have the full scope of what happened, but they don't talk anymore.
-She sighs-
Kai: But yeah. Things are better now. Still, though, I get why you're not fond of them. Birds, I mean.
-the Aura chains bisect the fiend and it falls, still glaring at the two of them in death-
Dioh: -makes a face- Hate, actually. Disgusting, thanks for handling that. Hey, Ten, are you alright? Ten? -goes over to investigate the girl-
-she stirs, and gradually sits up despite her beaten, half-dead appearance. It's a younger Channah, about ten years old, in a floral dress and pink headband-
Ten: Agh... -blinks up at Dioh, squinting- Y-you...? -tenses, then shoves surprisingly hard at him despite the obvious pain she's in- You need, to stop... following me everywhere!
Dioh: -backs away- Uh, alright, alright...
Ten: -turns and sees Tagg, then starts, her hard expression turning to happiness- ...Tagg! Tagg, hey! -she stands to greet him, wobbling-

There is no disdain in nature, there is no humiliation.Brie: Yeah. And Legendary birds especially. But Nix seems like a sweetheart.
-she smiles-
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.-they look up at the block tower-
Megan: -also hearing Reina, looks over at her, glancing at Daydre- ...oh dear.
Rabbid!Megan: -at all the sudden tension- ...bwaaaaaaaah...
-Pollen ignores it and attempts to Aura Scan the tower from a distance-
-they see the pirate ship-
Thespi: -hearing Pent, unusually tense- <Working together...>
<...this is our element. Ceal, this is your element.>
-Ceal breathes, then nods, staring at the waves-
<Together, the two of us could slice that hull in half, and there's hardly a damn thing they could do to stop us.>
<And there's a few dozen other things we've picked up, besides. The water is ours.>
<Your orders, cap'n?>
-Ceal and Thespi look over at Chum and Dawson and their company, an unusual confidence and clarity in the former's normally nervous eyes-
-the Plusle and Minun watch them, in turn. Tripod stares at the ship, watching for activity or signs of Basil-
-Chrom pats his wife's leg comfortingly-
Chrom: -to Lucina- <Indeed. I believe this electric sheep also can eventually transform into a dragon under the right circumstances, so...>
No mind to think. No will to break.F!Robin: "... Yes. I hate it."
All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Channah's Mindscape
I've never seen her be that happy to see me before. Like, on her face I mean. Also, pink. Should I tell her that her Aura's actually still pink one of these days...
-To Ten, smiling-
Hey, nice to see a familiar face in here. Well kinda, but you get what I mean.
Fusewheel
Ann: -Looking forward- That tower certainly doesn't look ominous.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Lucina: <Your Pokémon form manages to take into account the fact that you specialize in lightning magic, one thing you said when meeting the Shepards, and Grima.>
<Huh.>
Sumia: <I wonder if Morgan's one of those too.>
"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"Dr. Multiman: Mmmm? Yes, what is it?
Duolis: -Hands clasped to her mouth- Oh no... Oh no no no... I thought you were...
Molph: Dammit he's kind of hot.
Dakota: <Well if we could get some kind of tracker on the ship it'd be easier...>
Cavendish: <Problem is there's no good way to do so via land or air except possibly infiltrating the ship's supplies, which is risky...>
Reina: -sighs- I may as well tell you all now.
-She turns to address the group-
I have received information confirming my suspicions that a certain Gudrunn Ginnung is stationed in this region; in addition, she seems to be commanding an increasing number of our corrupted Rabbid foes.
Enzo: <More pirate creeps... Can't they rob the rich people instead of bothering lowlifes like us?>
Umbra: What do we do? Sink the boat?
Arcanine!Ammy: <Or burn it?>
Sepiroth: <How unfortunate...>
-to Shaun-
<My Trainer has not returned. I doubt he ever will.>

"..."
"The sword from Blazing Sigil: Fates, to make that clear."
Morgan: "... Do we have a way to find out?"

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Ten: -straightens, looking slightly healthier somehow at the end of the movement- Uh-huh. It's really nice to see you too! -to Tagg, motioning at Dioh- Sorry about Escapist. He always thinks he's in a video game and it's annoying.
Dioh: Miss, I've told you before, this is real life -
Ten: -interrupting, to Tagg- Oh, did you save me?
Dioh: Yeah, he killed that... thing. I escorted him here.
Ten: -to Tagg, ignoring Dioh- Okay! Then thank you! -pauses- Um... I bet you have some questions after all that. -glances at her bloodstained dress, frowning-
There is no disdain in nature, there is no humiliation.
Brie: Yeah, okay. He's...well, I hear he's fine most of the time, but he's often not his best self. He's hyper-aggressive, and he's not someone you can...talk down, I guess? It's not like he's defending territory or hunting or anything, he's just...very violent.
-she sweatdrops-
He keeps to himself normally, but like...it's a thing. You fly low in northeast Kanto. Which I do. Now.
